Fresh Money got a call he probably wishes he never answered. The Kixx are seriously leaning to "taking a hiatus from MISL if the Spectrum is knocked down"

    They've looked at other venues..........no

They don't want to move the franchise to another city

There isn't a mad rush of business people lining up to buy the team.

Wilmington? No Trenton? No Harrisburg? No

IF the Spectrum goes then they will go on hiatus until a new arena is built that will be a more purpose built place. 6-10 thousand fans, that kind of thing. If this arena doesn't get built, the Kixx might not come back.

I know that this is OT, but do you know where the Phantoms (AAA hockey) would move to? Also, why are they knocking down the Spectrum? It seems like a perfectly good 2nd arena that allows Comcast to make more money from hosting more events than the Wachovia Center could handle.

I don't know where the Phantoms would go. Trenton has ECHL so thats out. Maybe they would share with the Flyers as the ownership situation makes that easy. But no I don't know.

That being said I have numerous contacts in minor hockey. I don't know Frank Miceli at all as he was a baseball guy they brought in via Comcast. I've met Mike when he was with the Colonial Hockey League. I'll send a couple of emails.

Knocking down the spectrum is far from a done deal. Lets all take

Isn't there supposed to be some sort of mid-sized indoor arena in Pennsauken, where they've finished knocking down the Pennsauken Mart?

Maybe they can take two years off and come back when the new arena on Olathe is completed.
