Botman is a better fit. Why did Ajax let him go ;)

From what I read, he is just not good playing a high line and was getting beaten by players going past him. Ajax was deciding between Botman and Perie and may have made the wrong choice.

Koeman and Barca doesnt seem to be working out.
Not only are they losing, they are playing ugly, unattractive football :(

  4. How was Dest playing?
    The shining exception?

  5. Wow, it could easily have been Werder Bremen as the new holder of the "Helmond Cup". They could have beaten Bayern.

I haven't seen any update on the Helmond Cup since last January when it was still in Italy. The Twitter account for the Cup appears to be silent now and the website hasn't been updated for a long time. Do you have a source for Bayern being the holder?

  7. I search for the helmond cup and then the thread appears in which a poster keeps track of it in that thread. There's no dedicated thread for it afaik atm.

  8. I noticed something baffling in the Young PSV vs Young Utrecht match.
FC Utrecht had in their Young team a loan player from ManCity.o_O
    WTF?
The young teams are the cradle for first team players development. When you play kids from superclubs you're developing for foreign clubs, not your own team.
I think the KNVB should have the rule the Young teams only can play players under contract of the club, not loans. The Young teams in the Eerste divisie are there to benefit the development of players for the Eredivisie, not a tool for superclub money making.
Are they fecking imbecils in Utrecht?

I didn't see this until today but Phillip Cocu was sacked by Derby County of the English Championship League. The club is in last place.

Fun fact ahead of todays game:

Wout Weghorst has 7 goals in 10 Bundesliga games so far.
He has scored his 7 league goals across 6 of the last seven games - 5 of these 7 goals gave Wolfsburg the lead, the other 2 were equalisers

    Messi has lost his magic.

Sucks for Barca, if they had unloaded him last year pre-pandemic to some big oil club they would have gotten $200 mill for him. Not anymore though

And just as I write that he scores

    Assist for FdJ

  14. Atalanta has been chosen in Italy as the "Team of the Year, which is a huge honour for the "Eredivisie" as we have de Roon, Hatenboer and Gosens in that team, plus that other German defender they bought recently from Heracles.

They are also the most un-Italian team in terms of playing style. Shout out to Gasperini who got them to this point. They are attractive to watch.

LOL......if you get a chance make sure you watch the Griezball miss against Socieded today. Not only does he miss an open net, he actually made a beautiful backpass back to the opposing keeper :ROFLMAO:

  19. Actually Lammers just joined them, so he wasnot part of the "Team of the Year".

Peter Bosz has turned Bayern Leverkusen into a machine and at the same time unleashing their next wonder kid florian wirtz (17). If you look at the team, this is a blue print of what you want to have to win trophies. Two lethal wingers in Bailey and diaby and again a talented play marker in Wirtz. Their strikers are decent but they benefit/ prey on what ever that comes their way poaching onto the rebounds or if not assists created by them

They also have a very good depth in team with almost competitive back up players in every position. They are destined for CL next season and if they beat bayern Munich this sunday, they could well be in the contention for the Bundasliga title. A bit like liverpool setup and just like salah and mane , both baliey and diaby are exciting to watch.

This is something what you want to see in NT but unfortunately they dont have the right players atm. Some more dutch player signing by Bosz could fast track things for NT.
