First the Beatles and now this! A dull and boring sport from Britain where people run around for a couple hours chasing a ball. If you don't know what I'm talking about it's soccer. I like many others thought it was just a sport in Britain where crazy fans would go to the stadium, get drunk, and fight each other all day while watching grown men kick a ball around. Well now its everywhere I see! I see kids playing it in the parks, at the local high schools, and even on my TV! Oh the humanity! Now they're saying soccer is here to stay. They've crammed a league, MLS, down our throats for 8 years and it's just starting to be profitable and they're even getting their own stadiums! Just when I thought it could'nt get any worse the US team beats a world power and almost upsets another one at the world cup and captured the imagination of millions of sports fans and even our president! I know I'm not the only one alarmed about this and I hope this British invasion eventually dies down like the last one. Unfortunaly it dosen't look like it will for a very long time!
No kidding. Americans should stick to real sports like pie eating contests and cow tipping. God damn ferners are taking over the country.
