taking long kicks

    how to take long kicks(like kicking from one side to another side of the field), where do i hit the ball? n free kicks?

    The longest kicks (like the goalkeeper kick) are done so that you hit the lower central part of the ball with the inside of your foot, you kind of slide your foot through the underneath of the ball. If done properly the ball should have almost no sidespin, but it should have backspin. I long free kicks this kick is also used, in shorter free kicks you usually hit the bottom side part of the ball with the inside of the foot to curve it like Bechkam. :) Or smack it right to the center or a bit to the side like Roberto Carlos to curve it to the outside. Those kick are really good ad surprising the keeper because the ball starts really curving at the very end.
