Jallow will for sure be drafted by a MLS side..El-Ahmad I know for sure is highly toted by Chicago Fire as a mid round draft pick.

Jan Erikkson played for Tampa Bay in 1998 and 1999.

Anders Limpar played for Colorado in 1999 and 2000.

Those three are the only Swedes.

Miklos Molnar and Ekelund are the only Danes. No Norweigans. Nobody from Iceland. Simo is the only Finn.

Ravelli, Eriksson and Limpar going to MLS in the late 90's has btw formed the general swedish opinion's view of the american league - MLS is somewhere old players go before they die. I think the reputation has been getting better since, but that is mostly because of the national team's decent results the last few years. But every Gazza or Stoichkov mention that appears in the press over here (and former greats playing or looking to playing in MLS is the only press the league gets over here) helps to confirm the old prejudice.

A couple of swedish youngsters getting drafted could help change that if they get really succesfull. And even though the name Jallow rings a faint bell, I have my doubts. It's not uncommon that swedish young players goes to american colleges and the reason is almost without exception that they in their late teens comes to realize that they won't be able to make it as professional footballers.

Antouman Jallow was drafted as a promising young striker by San Jose.
His father is Gambian and his mother is Swedish.

His high school club Ekebyskolan won the national "title" and represented Sweden in the World Cup for high schools in Italy in 99.(which he was captian)

His club team before coming to the US for college was IK Sirius FK of the swedish second division.

In college he scored 60 goals was nominated to win the Hermann award for best college soccer player in 2003.

I believ he is the only swedish player in MLS at the moment.
