    ST. PAUL, Minn. (Friday, July 15, 2005)-The Minnesota Thunder announced today that the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer have loaned midfielder Tighe Dombrowski to the Thunder for the remainder of the 2005 USL First Division season.

    Tighe Dombrowski is the younger brother of current Thunder player, Chad Dombrowski. Tighe Dombrowski will make his debut with the Thunder tonight LIVE on Fox Soccer Channel as the Thunder plays host to the defending league champs, the Montreal Impact, who have yet to lose a game this season. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.

    Tighe Dombrowski, 23, has been a member of the Earthquakes for the 2004 and 2005 seasons. The West Allis, Wisc. native made four appearances for the San Jose club last season. Dombrowski has started and played in six of the Quakes reserve league games this year, notching one assist in 525 minutes of play.

    The 2004 MLS SuperDraft fifth-round pick starred at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for four years, scoring 16 goals in his college career. He has numerous honors in college, including being named to the First Team NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region, the First Team All-Horizon League, and the First Team Horizon League All-Tournament Team during his senior year.
