Bnei Sakhnin F.C. 4-3 Hapoel Beersheba F.C. Fulltime An empty Doha Stadium (due to Sakhnin's punishment for fan violence during the last match of the 2010/11 season against Beitar Jerusalem) was the setting for this weeks showdown. A brace by Mahran Radi was too much for Beersheba as they lost their first match of the season. This is the second round of Liga Al play but Beersheba's first match of the season was canceled due to the barrage of rockets coming in from Gaza last week. In the run up to league play for this season, I haven't seen Adeleye mentioned at all. It is kind of strange because he started to become a factor in the squad toward the end of last season. I am hoping that he is injured and hasn't fallen out of favor with Nir Klinger.
Result Hapoel Beersheba 1-3 Hapoel Nir Ramat haSharon Fulltime Ryan Adeleye went the full 90 for Beersheba as they lost their fourth straight league match in as many games. Rumor has it that Nir Klinger, the manager who gave Adeleye his first career start in Israel, will be sacked. Adeleye was not faulted on any of the goals.
Result Hapoel Tel Aviv 2-0 Hapoel Beersheba Fulltime In front of 7,500 fans at Bloomfield Stadium in Jaffa, Beersheba's woes continued. Ryan Adeleye went the full 90 but Beersheba lost due to defensive errors on set pieces in the final 5 minutes.
Re: Result Ryan Adeleye has been starting recently for Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the Israeli Premier League. Yesterday he went a full 90 in a 3-3 draw against Ironi Ramat HaSharon
Bnei Sakhnin 3-2 Hapoel Beersheba Fulltime Ryan Adeleye finally got his first start of the 2012/13 season for Hapoel Beersheba going the entire 90 minutes. Earlier in the week, he also started in the Toto Cup. The photo above is Ryan in today's match (in red shirt on right).
It looks like the move to Hapoel Ashkelon, a club battling relegation in Israel's 2nd tier, has paid off for Ryan. He was immediately given the starting job on defense and the club has been undefeated since his arrival. In the last three matches, they defeated Maccabi Ah"i Nazareth (mid-table Arab club) 3-1, Hapoel Kfar Saba (another relegation bound club) 3-2 and drew 1-1 with Hapoel Jerusalem who are in the hunt for a promotion place. On paper, Ashkelon doesn't have a bad squad with former Villarreal CF youth product, Gil Blumstein, pulling the strings in the midfield. Swedish-born goalkeeper, Daniel Lifshitz, was a former Liga Al player with Maccabi Netanya as was teammate Yehiel Tzagai, who in my opinion should have received a look from the Ethiopian national team ahead of the Cup of Nations together with Ashkelon's Messay Dego. Really hoping that Adeleye helps save the club from relegation and then moves on to a promoted squad like Hapoel Ra'anana. That way he will have an easier chance battling for minutes and can live in a large Anglo-Saxon city like Ra'anana.
Just a quick update, the IFA website says that Ryan Adeleye is out on loan (http://football.org.il/Clubs/Pages/TeamDetails.aspx?TEAM_ID=2171&SEASON_ID=14). So he may be back in the top tier next season no matter what.
Hapoel Ashkelon F.C. 0-1 Hapoel Nazareth-Ilit F.C. Fulltime Ryan once again went 90 minutes for Ashkelon, but they were bested by a 43rd minuted strike by Nazareth-Ilit rookie, Eran Malkhin. It was kind of a surprise as Ashkelon has been in fine form as of late and recently signed French-Israeli midfielder, Jonathan Assous to give them what should be a very good squad heading into the second half of the season. As such, Ashkelon remains level on points with 13th place Beitar Tel Aviv, but Beitar has a match to play this weekend. Most note also, that in a State Cup match February 1, Ryan scored a brace for Ashkelon against fellow Liga Leumit club, Hapoel Petah Tikva.

Ft. Ladelaye: The Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced Tuesday the signing of American-Israeli defender Ryan Adeleye. http://www.nasl.com/article/uuid/1j...-another-defensive-reinforcement-with-adeleye
A few details on his time abroad: While it was as a bit of a shock Adeleye was nothing short of ecstatic, as he made the transition to a professional environment, the league and a foreign country. “It wasn’t necessarily an easy one. It’s a lot to deal with. I went to a foreign country, I didn’t know the language, and had no family there. It was adjusting to a new level, adjusting to a new profession. It’s different when it becomes your job,” he said. “As hard as it was, it was totally worth it.” Adeleye’s time in Israel was certainly fruitful for many reasons. As well as on the field, the 27-year-old met his wife and recently became a father. The defender also may have developed a bit of a cult following, as he was easy to spot on the streets with his afro. http://www.nasl.com/article/uuid/1w...-after-life-changing-israel-stay#.VOUHVbDF9P0
