this question might sound weard, but Riquelme is coming back to Barcelona in the end of the year!!!

Do you think that Riquelme Is a better player than Deco??

Could you imagine Riquelme and ronaldinho playing in the same team???

Riquelme is better, but I'm not sure if both him and Ronaldinho could play in the same team.

yes I think riQuelme is a better player, I dont know if he will be back on barsa, But I do know that ronaldinho and riquelme playing in the same team would be FVKING WATCHING A FANTASY MOVIE!!

Riquelme is the best player on the planet after ronaldinho. every time he traps that ball is dangerous,,you guys should of heard what MArca sayd of him.

YOu guys should of seen the game villareal vs osasuna,, Riquelme played like he did in boca!!

i dont know which is better but the role deco plays isn't as #10 like he was for porto it involves a lot of dirty work he tracks back a lot and when barca dont have the ball deco or xavi are pressuring the player that does, i honestly dont know much about riquelme but he doesn't sound like that type of player more a #10. so i think he would be more a replacment for ronaldinho (if he is injured or needs rest etc) then deco.

this may help your views on Riquelmes style.
its one of the articles related to riquelme

    http://www.goal.com/NewsDetail.aspx?idNews=8194&idSez=20

the key match for riquelme is when he plays against barsa, You will see ronaldinho vs riquelme, las year it was a draw, one of the best games I saw in la liga, and riquelme played better and played the ball bettwen ronaldinhos legs. Not a lot of players can do that to a player like ronaldinho, anyway riquelme is a magician with the ball. Whatch out for him

that was pretty much what i thought he was a #10 creative, good passing and all that so he would be more a ronaldinho then a deco.

Some key quotes from that article:

"Riquelme assumes all playmaking duties for all teams he plays for, if he is prevented from fulfilling this role you will definitely not see the best of him. This refusal to allow Riquelme to dictate play at Barcelona was primarily the reason for the lack of success he enjoyed at the Nou Camp..."

"...must allow Riquleme to express himself and not restrict his immense talent on the pitch to the detriment of the team and Riquleme himself."

Deco recovers more balls than Davids did in Barcelona. He is making some goals, and assists. Awesome team player.

Hmmm and i dont remember Riquelme taking his team nowhere, neither to a champions league final, european cup final, etc..

i only watched 30 min of the match i think but he looked good, he put a nice ball through to forlan that was wrongly called off side. i will watch out for villa games, so i can see a bit more of him.

do you know what position sorin played, i always thought he was a left back but he always seemed to be in the attack.

Sorin's supposed to be a left back but from what seen in recent years has been used as a defensive minded left winger.

I don't really think much of him, he definitely shouldn't have been in the first team for Argentina at the World Cup.

As for Deco and Riquelme, definitely different types of players. Deco is the more complete one, so i would prefer Deco. Riquelme seems destined for the rest of his career to run the show at a mid table team.

yes I agree, what riquelme needs is to progress in a big team even though he is been by far the most decisive player at vila real. He is world class and I hope he goes back to barcelona, but it seems complicated, however; will see what happends this year villa real!
