A while ago there was speculation about what team Claudio Reyna would move to. Someone said "he will want to go to a team that has a chance to play in Europe."

Does the expression "playing in Europe" means that a player's team is in the UEFA Cup or the Champion's League -- or both?

Correct. "Playing in Europe" means playing in one of the UEFA competitions, preferably not the Inter-Toto cup.

Well, ultimately, preferably the Champion's League. But I don't think anyone will find Reyna complaining about the UEFA Cup.

Not like Claudio's a stranger to European competition, though.
