    What has happened to him?

I started a thread earlier in the year basically saying the same thing. I was ripped apart. Honestly. Right now he is playing appaling soccer. Two years ago I was a strong supporter, saying that he should definately be on the Nats. Now he can't even play in MLS.

Oz needs to put him on the bench for a game or two...let Mike calm down a little and at the same time , let Mike know that his starting position isn't guaranteed.

Also I know I am going to get killed for this since everyone is so far up his ass, but Jolley has been just as guilty as Petke. Jolley may put in a fierce tackle or two and his play against Columbus the other week was sparkling, but over all he is getting to be another typical overrated MLS defender. I like Jolley a lot because he puts his heart on his sleeve like Mike does...but Jolley has been getting caught more and more out of step lately. Marcelo's insertion would benefit Jolley and Petke's performance ten fold,,,having a veteran anchoring the defense and calling shots would put a lot less pressure on those two.... obviously that's a pipe dream as Balboa is all but done, but I think if he were to of been healthy the Metros would probably be about 3 wins better in the standings.

I also agree about Jolley. I don't remember which game it was....Jolley was farther upfield then our strikers rushing for the ball. I'm thinking, aren't you a defender? It's crpa like that that pisses me off.

Now, another one of Zambrano's imports is starting to fail him. He is now 0 for how many players? I'll give Diallo some time....to fcuk up.

    Walsh sucks.....its all his fault.

How dare someone say something bad about the mighty Petke.

Yeah right. Last year he was one of the best defenders in the league and now he's "failing".

Plus, the whole team is now "Zambrano's imports". Who's left from 99? Petke, Tab, Howard. That's it.

And Petke was one of the best defenders 2 years ago, when every serious Metros fan was pushing for him to be on the Nats. Would anyone honestly say he is able to play in the international level now?

As for Jolley, he's playing better then Petke, but when the defense falls apart, it is the whole defense's fault.

As for the imports, I usually think of those original players that Zambrano brought in with such fanfare. They were, Valencia, Comas, Hernandez, Jolley, and whoever else. I don't consider Mathis one.

All those players are gone. My question is why does this team keep on chucking players out like this. You are here for one year at the most, and then you leave.

Petke is getting the Hernandez problem....he thinks his s#$% don't stink.....just hope he wakes up and relizes it.....otherwise, send him packing too...

Wouldn't that be interesting....wonder if he would have the same "where's the loyalty" view as hernandez....

Loyalty only goes as far as the last game anymore....and when you are bad for a string of them, you don't get dropped from the squad, you get traded.....

    i agree 100%.

though i don't know if oz has the balls to do it.....

his post game reaction was more giving credit to chicago and saying it was an off game.....but petke was really casual about his entire game....

benching him for a few is the only way to fix this...we've all seen him play much better...before he got the pay raise....

Hate to say it as he is one of my favorite all time guys but Mike is overated right now and can use a seat on the bench like they did the first year or two when he had a bad spurt.
