Another WC year is a good time to put together a tour of MLS Soccer Specific Stadiums. Here is the list, so far: In the bank: Columbus, the First, of course. LA Home Depot Burn Stadium outside Dallas The new Rapids Stadium Should be on-line The Metros new stadium What am I missing? See you there.
isn't chicago getting one as well and rochester possibly in MLS and if not, that still wouldn't be a bad little stadium to go to.
Here is the upcoming MLS SSS list (of course, the "soon-to-come" tag for Colorado can now be scratched off ). -G
Yeah, Chi. I forgot. Rochester would be alright, but I am looking for SSS stadiums. Any others? Why do I think San Chivas is going to be on the list?
If your willing to venture to the A-league, Charleston Battery have a great SSS built in 1999. The Three Lions pub in the stadium alone would make the trip here worth it. tons of Soccer memrobillia and history that make it like a museum that sells beer. Mikey
Nice work really. It reminds me some other museums run by some clubs next to the stadium like Inter, Milan or Ajax, where you can learn about the team history and buy some original stuff. (OT: Hey do you have Modena scarf too?!)
My wife and i went to the season opener there in 2002. Blackbaud stadium is awesome. I love the design of the stadium, the club shop, and Three Lions Pub. Definatly a model club for the A League.
Not sure if there is a Modena FC scarf in their or not, but there is a Charity match at Blackbaud tommorrow and will check. But here is a couple photos of some of the things up in the Three Lions Pub. http://www.ussocceruk.com/USsoccerUK_Forum/photos/photo-thumbnails.asp?albumid=23 Mikey
