What do you guys suggest I do first? From what I've heard, I should be investing the maximum in my Youth Team and getting a better coach...
Actually I wouldn't invest much in youth system. I started out with $5,000 in it and then gradually moved to $10,000 and eventually $20,000. It's easier to manage for your budget since it's hard to make money right away. The best way to make money is to add to your stadium. More seats = more potential tickets sold. More tickets sold = more money per match. I am up to 50,000 seats and when I sell out I make over $350,000. However, you probably have a 12,000 seat stadium, which will probably only generate around $75,000 a match. So you have to consider that each home match generates income for 2 weeks (since away games generate 0 income) and if you are only making $75,000 a biweekly it's going to be kinda hard to pay $40,000 on top of all the other expenses like stadium maintenence, wages, staff, etc. This is why I recommend not putting a lot in the youth squad, just because it's hard to make money when you first start, so why make it even harder than it needs to be?
Investing the max in your YS can wait. e.g. if you only invest $10k/wk, you would only be slightly delayed in reaching the max level (gaining a lot more financial flexibility along the way) and the YS is just a crapshoot anyway. Upgrading the coach is a must. See my newbie guide for more suggestions.
ok so it looks like there are no trainable people on your team. everyone that's trainable (20/21 and under) has an extremely low TSI. my advice would be to pick an area to train and upgrade your coach so that he has passable training skill and poor leadership abilities.
You will most likely lose evey game you play this season because you are in DV. Don't worry, get your training program set up and when you demote to DVI you will have a good chance at winning your series. What do you want to train?
Hired a Neutral coach with passable ability (At least, I'm hunting for one.) I'd like to be an attacking team, so yeh. EDIT: Any players you see that I should sack?
I know you've alrady highered a passable coach it sounds like which is good, although I think you could have picked up a solid trainer with poor leadership, but a passable one will work for now. What I would do next is fire your players that do not have at least inad for one of their main skills (scoring, playmaking, winger, keeper, defense). Since it's so late in the season, you coudl probably pick up a few 17 year old passables or inad scorers very cheap right now if you want to train scoring.
Well, I have a Solid scorer and a Passable scorer. I don't see anyone with particularly decent defending.
Well now that you have your passable trainer, you can fire the old one, Jerónimo Aréchiga. You can only fire one every so many hours, so you'll have to wait to fire another, but look at my pervious post to see who you should fire when you get the chance.
you may want to sell the solid scorer...he's gonna be 29 in a couple days and that's the age where skills start to decline and scoring is one of the first skills to go. the passable guy is still trainable for another season or so. EDIT: don't sell anyone immediatly...
What'd be a reasonable price? I placed 1k on a 17-year-old. TSI: 200 Stamina: weak Goalkeeping: disastrous Playmaking: poor Passing: passable Winger: poor Defending: wretched Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: inadequate
Frederick Tripp TSI = 410 , 28 years, poor form Has wretched experience and solid leadership abilities Stamina: passable Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: disastrous Passing: weak Winger: weak Defending: weak Scoring: solid Set pieces: disastrous
i'm not sure you can get to much for him...maybe somewhere between $60,000 and $100,000. you should check the transfer compare and maybe get some other people's advice about the price. i'm not the best at selling...i get too impatient so i often sell guys too cheap. one thing i can tell you is don't list him now. the best time is to list him is between about 19:00 and 22:00 HT time.
Given you want to be an attacking team you might want to train playmaking and line-up a 3-5-2. Since midfield is so important in hattrick you would be well suited to start building your midfield this year so when you get demoted to Div VI (which you will and don't worry about it) you will be able to hold your own.
couple of the players on the TL that are the same age and scoring skill are going for 25K-40K, the ones at 50K aren't getting any bids. Plus I think he's a low solid looking at that TSI, but I could be wrong.
I wouldn't be able to tell by looking at your roster, but any player at weak or below in their primary skill should be sacked within the next three or four weeks, unless they have the highest leadership on your team and either sympathetic or popular agreeability. (You may need to delay a weak player or three for a couple of weeks until you're adequately staffed with backups.)
I bout a couple of youngsters for 3,001 and 1,000 respectively. Rolando Magallanes TSI = 340 , 18 years, wretched form Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities Stamina: poor Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: weak Passing: weak Winger: solid Defending: poor Scoring: poor Set pieces: poor Johnny Salisbury TSI = 260 , 17 years, inadequate form Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities [Unpredictable] Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: poor Passing: passable Winger: poor Defending: wretched Scoring: inadequate Set pieces: inadequate
