Well, I think our best player is Firas Al-Khateeb, he plays pro in Kuwait, our best striker Rajaa Rafee also plays for the same club in Kuwait. The players you saw in Qatar for the West Asian Games was not our B team but we had no pros on the team. Our better midfielders are Jehad Al-Husian and Mahmoud Amneh(who participated in the WAG.) Ra'fat Mohammad is our best defender and he is a rightback. He was our captain in the WAG. We had an overall good preformance against Oman 3-1W, Bahrain 2-2, Irans Olympic 4-1 PK, and Final Iraq 2-2, 4-3 PK L. Silver was good enough especially since no one thought we were gonna make it.
Currently in our league Al-Jaish stand first(historically the best team.) In the ACL we have 2 teams participating, Al-Ittihad(Champs) and Al-Karamah(2nd place league) this is because Al-Ittihad won the double.
Firas Al-Khateeb is coming off of a 2 goal preformance in the Kuwaiti league helping his team to a 4-0 win.
In our league big results were champs Ittihad losing 1-0, Jaish winning 1-0, Al-Wahda(my team :D ) winning 1-0 and Karamah thrashing their opponents 6-0.

Al-Jaish further extended their lead at the top playing a postponed match aginst Jablah. Jaish drubbed their opponents 3-0 to bring the gap between them and defending champs Ittihad to 5 pts.
Next matchday is on Friday the 30th.

I am still annoyed with Syria teams :D

In 2004 AFC Cup, both Syrian clubs Al Wahda & Al Jaish KO both S-league clubs Home United & Geylang United for 1 of them had make it to Final, S-league would have chance to play ACL football

Anyway no chance for revenge at clubs or NT level with Syria in ACL & same pot with Singapore in Asian Cup :D

Al-Wahda vs. Al-Jaish, thats the capital derby. Nowadays, its any match that involes Ittihad,Wahda,Jaish and Karama in one match.

Champions Al-Ittihad drubbed Tishreen 5-0, while runners up Karamah and fellow ACL participants also won big with a 3-0 bashing of Al-Jehad. Bad news for leaders Al-Jaish as they drew 1-1 with Al-Taleiah, as the other other team from the capital, Al-Wahdah won 2-1 against Al-Fatowa with goals in the 3rd and 5th minutes. :D
So it looks like this after 12 weeks:
    Al-Jaish 27 pts.
    Al-Ittihad 24
    Al-Karamah 23
    Al-Wahdah 21

There is nothing there on FIFA.com or goalzz.com for Syria. The only games we'll play for sure this year are the AFC qualifiers. There will definetley be friendlies but they are set up like 48 hrs before the match. :D Thats Syria for ya!!

Jihad is one of our best players. Despte his young age hees amazing anywhere in the middle. Right wing, left wing center, doesnt matter, hees there. He scored an acrobatic goal in the 94th minute of the final of the WAG against Iraq. He should be a great addition to Al-Kuwait. But I'm sure Karama will let go so easily going into the ACL, unless Kuwait take out its wallet ;)

Well I hope they do. But why the interest in Syrian players in Kuwait?? He might be the 4th Syrian in Kuwait if he signs. Firas/Rajaa:Al-Arabi, Al-Omaier:Fahaheel and Jihad.
Btw we have players playing in 2nd and 3rd divisions in Eastern Euro countries, but the thing is it is impossible for me to get a hold of thier names and they dont play for the nat'l team cuz they have to pay a two way plane ticket from their pocket if they wanna play a match.

I think that teams are signing a talent rather than a nationality... no doubt the three Syian players in the Kuwaiti league are talented.
