Next month, Noonan's going to be named Player Of The Year and then he'll begin working on his campaign to become the Player Of The Decade. I've been given the honor of writing Noonan's acceptance speech, too. Here it goes: "First off, I'd like to thank all the fans of the New England Revolution and coach Stevie NICHOLS. Secondly, I'd like to thank Bob Bradley and the MetroStars, for they truly are my 8itches.." :)

    Seriously: Congrats, Pat!! Sch-weet.

PAT NOONAN NAMED MLS PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Rookie Takes Second Major Honor of the Week
Coming off Hat Trick Performance Versus MetroStars

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution
rookie forward Pat Noonan was named MLS Player of the Month by the
Professional Soccer Reporters Association (PSRA) for the Month of October.

Noonan scored in three of the Revolution's
four games in October. He is tied for ninth in scoring in MLS with 27 points
(10 goals, 7 assists) and is second in the league in scoring among rookies.

Yesterday, Noonan was named MLS Player of
the Week for Week 30 of the MLS season after registering his first career
hat trick in the Revolution's 5-2 victory over the MetroStars on Saturday,
    October 25.

The Revolution won their last five matches
of the 2003 MLS regular season and are unbeaten in their last seven heading
into the MLS Cup Playoffs, which begin this coming weekend.

Noonan notched the Revs' first goal against
the Metros in the 41st minute of Saturday's game. He took a pass from Steve
Ralston at the top of the penalty area and struck a low, left-footed shot
that skimmed between the legs of MetroStars goalkeeper Paul Grafer.

Noonan scored his second goal of the contest
in the 51st minute. Dario Fabbro played a bending ball into the area from
right flank which deflected off of defender Juan Forchetti before Noonan
lobbed a header over Grafer and into the goal.

With the score 4-1 in the 68th minute,
Noonan completed his hat trick when he collected a low cross from the left
side by Brian Kamler. Noonan then made one of his patented cutback maneuvers
through the MetroStars' defense before easily slotting a shot past Grafer
from eight yards out. José Cancela triggered the attack for New England by
releasing Kamler down the left wing with a spectacular overhead kick from
    midfield.

Noonan started the month of October with a
goal in the 4-1 victory over the Dallas Burn on October 4 at Dragon Stadium
in Southlake, TX. Noonan put a shot past Dallas keeper Jeff Cassar after a
sudden cutback move in the penalty area. Shalrie Joseph and Taylor Twellman
were the setup men on the play; Joseph played the ball from central midfield
to Twellman who then passed to Noonan. Noonan took several touches to beat
former Revolution defender Brian Dunseth and then slotted a shot past
    Cassar.

Noonan continued his scoring on October 18
at Giants Stadium in E.Rutherford, New Jersey when MetroStars captain Steve
Jolley intercepted a long forward ball from Leo Cullen that was intended for
Pat Noonan, but Noonan pressured Jolly and took the ball off his foot and
broke in on the MetroStars goal. Jolley stayed with Noonan as he raced in on
goal, but the rookie was able to deftly chip the ball past the onrushing
Walker from 13 yards out to make the score 2-0.

This is the first time that Noonan has
received Player of the Month honors. The Major League Soccer Player of the
Month is selected every month throughout the MLS season by a panel of
journalists from the Professional Soccer Reporters Association (PSRA).

The Revs begin MLS Cup Playoffs action on
Saturday, November 1 at 5 p.m. at Giants Stadium in the first game of their
Conference Semifinals home-and-home, aggregate goals series with the
    MetroStars.

The home leg of the Conference Semifinal
first round playoff series for the Revolution will be played on November 9
at 4 p.m. at Gillette Stadium. Playoff tickets are on sale now. Call
