With todays defeat of the Eagles, JJ's Husband and more importantly MiLLeNNiuM can concentrate with laser focus on the upcoming European Matches.
new vw deal. https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...ce-landmark-multi-year-presenting-partnership quote: with the deal announced in advance of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, Volkswagen will be activating during U.S. Soccer’s Countdown to the Cup from January to May, which includes the USA playing a total of 10 games before departing for France in pursuit of another World Cup title. The schedule – which features eight teams that will be participating in France – includes the fourth edition of the SheBelieves Cup, with games in Philadelphia, Nashville and Tampa, and the final three Send-Off Series matches in Santa Clara, Calif., St. Louis, Mo., and Harrison, N.J.... As part of the partnerships, Volkswagen also becomes the presenting partner of Tournament of Nations....
Good on VW for wholeheartedly supporting soccer in the States (sorry, you took a bath on the men's WC).
In case anyone wants to see the complete 990, here is the link. https://www.ussoccer.com/about/federation-services/resource-center/financial-information

I hate being on the West Coast when we have a World Cup in Europe..........It's a little hardcore to be going to a bar with supporters at 8AM if we even make the final.
All US fans who followed the 2002 World Cup just laughed out loud and rolled their eyes (plus the fans who followed what they could from the 2007 WWC).
Now that we have an actual patriotic American kit, let's make sure our ladies are wearing it at the top of the podium four months from today. It'll look so much better than these did.
Not sure exactly where to post it, but since it's about media, I guess this could be the right place. It made newspapers even here in Italy that Sydney Leroux was heavily criticized on social media because of her choice to report to Orlando Pride and to start training despite being at her 5th month of pregnancy. Was the bashing as hard as it appears from what I read on the news, or was it somehow exaggerated to make it a story? I am aware that the social media are toxic, but I can't believe that we are at the point that hundreds of people can tell a mom what she has or hasn't to do and insult her accordingly.
The pictures (that she posted herself) did go viral. I didn’t think I’d be starting off preseason 5.5 months pregnant but here we are. 😂 pic.twitter.com/smuA4nFx9n— Sydney Leroux (@sydneyleroux) March 4, 2019 I don't know really how much flak she got, but there are over a thousand responses to the above tweet (and some responses were definitely supportive), but it was enough that she also tweeted a couple of responses: I just do non contact stuff. Ball work. Getting touches in. I don’t put myself in situations where the ball can ricochet or I can get hit. No high intensity running and I listen to my OB (who knows more than people on twitter telling me what I shouldn’t be doing with MY body 😉). https://t.co/GoFOXXYVyb— Sydney Leroux (@sydneyleroux) March 5, 2019 I have yet to respond to some of you ignorant people but this one made me lol. 99% of those that have criticized my ‘training’ have been men. Until you push a baby out of your vagina you need to sit this one out. I don’t play for the money honey, I play because it brings me joy. https://t.co/bCDTiolaC9— Sydney Leroux (@sydneyleroux) March 5, 2019
This is the first I've heard of it, but I'm not a really big social media guy. It makes me laugh, though -- my wife was playing tennis until 2 weeks before our first child was born ... and that was more than 50 years ago!
I am not either: in fact I didn't know anything about it either... it had to make newspapers for me to know!
More info on the details of the new uniform: https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2019/03/11/15/02/20190311-wnt-usa-world-cup-jersey-kit-launch The white kit is actually a nod to the '99 WWC uniform, this year being the 20th anniversary of the '99 win. That's pretty cool; I also like that they're actually patriotic, unlike the '15 white uniform. I do think the cut of the shorts is a little odd, looking more like running shorts, but I like the 3 stars. Also USSF has announced that the women's uniform (with the 3 stars) will be available in men's sizes.
