I whish He is going for Joaquín, but I dont know how much will he cost us, more than what we are willing to pay for Robinho or not?
Joaquín is supposed going to Real Madrid too, but can they outbid us on all the players that they want?
Robinho and Joaquín are trully unique players that can bring a lot to our team, but Joaquín is more suited to us, since he is a right winger, in a postition that needs to improve a lot in our team.
Although the other targets are interesting, from Baptista to Ramos I prefer Joaquín.

But Baptista can't get a work permit due to lack of international experience?

I thought the consensus was that there were ways to get around this.

There certainly are ways. If Yakubu is getting a work permit... and I rest my case.

hmmm, but if israel is part of UEFA, the question is...how long was the yak in israel playing for haifa(IIRC).

I don't think it matters. Yakubu's performances for Portsmouth show he "elevates the level of play" in the EPL. Baptista's record in la Liga will make his case, too.

    So was I.

The "75% of National team games" rule is solely the criteria for automatic, say-no-more, granting of a work permit (based on everything I've read). After applications are approved or denied based on that criteria alone, appeals can be lodged by the teams. Those appeals are judged on whether the player has, or will, raise the play or stature of the EPL.

Maybe he couldn't get a direct flight to Madrid, so had a "stop over" in Seville.
Could be he is signing Beckham and Owen. :D
I have his mobile number. Shall I call him and ask, and save all these posts? :)
