    Houston wins on PK's 4-3, 1-1 AET.

Right now I'm still singing "New England till I Die.." because I will still support this team with every fibre of my body.

A great run at the end, but you live by the PK, you die by the PK.

I wonder what Stevie saw in that huddle that kept Ralston and Clint out of the PK rotation.

    I ripped my favorite shirt.

I met the love of my life in that shirt.

    Damn you, Chen

I can't figure out why, why can't we win one. We are the biggest underachievers in any sport in America. Maybe we've got a long shot at making the cup next year, but this was it for a while.

    Auuugh.

We were champions of MLS for one minute.

Maybe it's just that the wound is fresh, but this one hurts worse than the other two times.

If indeed this was Dempsey's last MLS game, you'd think he'd have been clamoring to take one of the kicks.

This hurts. Are we channeling the Buffalo Bills?

just couldn't close it out, we shouldn't have spent so much energy celebrating taylor's goal we should have buckled down...

there is no excuse for clint not to take that last PK, he's a big time player, you know he wanted it too.

    k. smith was a baller today, showing he's gonna be able to take over as star player when clint etc. all leave this off-season.

Out of all 3 MLS cups we've been in this one hurts the most right now. Having the lead, losing it a minute later, knowing going into pk's we have a good shot at coming out with it...and then just disappointment...

They gave it their all out there and it had to come down to PK's, just so disappointing.

I can't really make much sense of the Heaps choice right now, especially with the remaining options, Ralston especially. Ahhhh it's going to be a long offseason...

It is easy for us to 2nd guess the chosen penalty taker, but give Houston credit. Steve Nicol didn't lose the game by choosing Heaps. Houston won the game through perserverance...and it f*cking sucks!

Sorry about the loss today. :( I was totally rooting for the Revolution.

Don't worry, the Revs will be back in the Cup next year, and will be playing in their own SSS soon enough. :)

I don't think he'd care. His bags are packed and he's not looking back. The thing I don't get about him is why (if they do) would the league let him go on a free transfer when they could trade him afor something? Maybe now that it's over a trade will be announced?

Agreed. While Onstad was good on the few real chances, Reis proved why he is the best in the league.

He's got a year left, so they still have the whip hand on where he plays next year.

This brings up the whole Dempsey not travelling with the team thing, was it really something deeper?

peabrain, little intense, but Nicol isn't to blame. Heaps gets the blame just like Dempsey got it a few years ago. A veteran like Heaps should have put it away but this brings us to why defenders are defenders, THEY CAN'T SCORE!!!! Don't ever put a defender for PK's unless they're Ledley King or Jamie Carragher.

It does? Hrmmm....you are seeing something I am not. He looked pretty intense today apart from lack of pace from his injury.

Was in the stadium and have to say props to the Revs fans. The Dynamo fans were a bunch of drunk, obnoxious, beer-throwing @$$holes...too stupid to know that it is for drinking not for throwing.
