I've had way too much time on my hands today. Listen up ADIDAS, MLS, GALAXY front office.

This season is pretty much over and since our team has been pretty much in the front of things for the last decade: attendence, revenue, star power, and so forth, let us now be the first to venture into MLS styled basketball jerseys.

Yes basketball jerseys for us big guys and hell for the little guys too (I'm a healthy 6'2").

Think about it. This could be a perfect way to broaden MLS and soccer. MLS can reach out to a large new untapped consumer. ADIDAS is in charge of NBA jerseys right? So why not create some basketball jersey for some of the bigger MLS teams. Some NBA players like soccer. Kobe, Nash, Nowitzki, etc., this players can spread some of the love.

I present too you exhibit A:

Although this is just a mock up, think of the possibilities.

ADIDAS, MLS and you our GALAXY FO, our season is done. Make this happen. I know I'll be happy.

PS: HERBALIFE is on the jersey just in very very small print right above the adidas logo on the botton right hand portion of the jersey.

I like to think of it as soccer sometimes, but with out a golie in front of the net and on a shorter field.

Been done already except with crossing over baseball, football and nba. Mark Cuban can sometimes be seen wearing an Adidas Mavericks baseball jersey. Adidas also made New York Yankee basketball jerseys. I don’t think the idea was successful.

Think about the target audience for MLS and Galaxy right now. If they wanted to market to the urban sector then they would pay 50 Cent to wear a Galaxy jersey in a video or have Becks popping Cristal in the club in the next P. Diddy video. Seriously, I don’t want the sport to cross over THAT much. I enjoy being unique. Being a soccer/football fan in the states is a pretty special club. I don’t want to see Jenny from the block wearing a pink Man Utd shirt. I don’t want the Bloods wearing Utd shirts with the “I” from “AIG” removed so that the shirt says “A G!”

So how are baseball and football like soccer? If this is a good way for MLS to expand to the urban, inner city youth then why not? The next Ronaldo could be there.

Excuse the question but what is "A G"?? and what do they have to do with the bloods??

Seriously my gangsta homeboys wouldn't be wearing a Man U jersey specially with the letters "A G" on their chest, cuz we smart asses would just add an "F" in front of that and they wouldn't like that too much.

    "A G" as in "Aye whaddup G!" :D

Baseball and football are like soccer in the sense that this concept has already been tried and failed.

Funny , I've never seen an Arsenal baseball jersey I would have snatched one up and the only Barcelona football jersey I've seen is this one [IMG] from the Barcelona Dragons of the defunct EURO NFL.

I don't see anything wrong with this-in fact, those mock-ups look awesome enough to go to print already. I can honestly see the logic behind such clothes, since I have first hand experience with the trouble really tall people have with acquiring new clothes.

When I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I lived right next door to my Uncle's family; My Uncle and his sons are all very tall, my Uncle being 6'8'', my oldest cousin being 6'2'', and my youngest cousin (still older than me mind you) is freaking 7'0''. He even looks like Ji-Sung Park of Man U! Considering its hotter than hell sometimes, they mainly wear really light clothing, which includes what else? Jerseys. Unfortunately, the biggest Soccer or Baseball XL, while being quite wide, still isn't enough in length to completely cover their midsection, so they have to rely mainly on wearing Basketball Jerseys. I say make it.
