I was watching Chelsea - Newcastle this weekend and can't help but wonder why Chelsea shouldn't make a raid for Landon this winter or summer! He would fit in perfectly with Chelsea's attacking style football! Wouldn't he? Look at Adrian Mutu, what has he really done for Chelsea that good ol' Landon can't do? Well I'll tell ya Landon at least scored twice in the World Cup and Mutu has yet to even play! Landon is younger and much more faster and skillfull than Mutu. So who else thinks Landon Donovan would be a great addition to Chelsea's super EPL team? I know there's some speculation in Landon joining ManU but seriously, our best player needs to go to the best up and coming team in the EPL and it's Chelsea! Mr. Chelski should fire his scouts for ignoring our boy!
i would love to see landon in the EPL, but i think a major stumbling point may be that his rights are still owned by Bayern. they are watching his develpoment and might not want to part with him, and i don't think Chelsea(or any EPL team) would offer an awful lot for him.
Oh come on' if Chelksi offer 16 million pounds for a guy like Mutu who hasn't proven anything in Italy let alone the World Stage what's the reasoning that they wouldn't offer even more for LD ! The Quakes are ready to rumble !
i agree that landon is good, but i wouldn't offer 16 million for him, i wouldn't go up to 10 for him. ok, he has been more productive than Mutu on the world stage but i think a reason for that is becaues Mutu hasn't had the opportunity, Romania hasn't been on the world to the world cup since 1998. he hasn't had the chance to prove himself. also landon stats haven't been the eye popping in a league that isn't up to the level of the Italian league(no offense to MLS), how is he supposed to compete in aguably the best league in the world, lastly with all of the big name players on that team i highly doubt he would play much anyways. And for the record it was a mistake to pay 16 million of Mutu.

I'm still not sure if he is actually serious about this or is merely trolling. Also, since I have never actually watched Mutu play before I have no idea how good he is. And therefore am unfit to offer an opinion. But I do know that you don't offer a transfer fee of what you've "proven" on the world stage. You do it based on talent. There's a reason Chelsea paid so much for Damien Duff and Joe Cole. There's also a reason why ManU payed so much for Rio beyond the 5 games he played in the World Cup. I know that LAndon has the talent to be on of the top players in the world. And somebody is gonna have to pony up to Leverkusen if they want to have that talent play for them.
basti is joking or just plain dumb. if i remember basti is from germany and a german fan and now has this go quakes go thing on his info and the comment about mutu gave him away. mutu did very well for parma in italy and has been quite good so far for chelsea. he is also expected to be one of th ebest in the world quite soon.
Actually, EPL is perfect for Landon to play style wise. A run and gun game is best fit for Landon with his increadible speed. What he needs are world class teammate to play off him, then he can be very dangerous in 90 minutes. I cannot wait the day when Landan and Freddy are in field to play together.
