Depth on defense will be tested this weekend as both Zambrotta and Zebina are out of the squad list. And Emerson is suspended as well.

So I suppose Birindelli and Pessotto could start on the defensive wings, and Tacchinardi for Emerson. Wonder if he'll rest anybody else ahead of Wednesday's CL game. Maybe Zalayeta and Blasi could get starts as well.

I hope so but i think Del Piero should play the last 20 mins just because he is not fully fit so the last 20 could just give him a lil go around have sum fun. Only if we are up by a lot. I wanna put pressure on the young gunz to score some goals, aqnd i realli like blasi a lot he should start more.

Gazzetta says it'll likely be Del Piero and Ibrahimovic starting up front. In the back, Pessotto/Birindelli are one choice for the wings but also Thuram moving to the side with Ferrara stepping into the middle alongside Cannavaro. I love Ciro, but I hope not.

They could have Legrottaglie step in the middle against his former club if Thuram goes out wide.

Ibra needs a rest. ALl the reports say that he is still a little injured from his back. So if we give hima Del Piero a rest i will be better for Champs league. Whats wrong with starting Kapo and Zalayeta. Or Oliviera and Zalayeta. I wouldnt mind seeing the guys playing together. We could do a diamond here is my formation.

    .....................Buffon..................
    Pessotto.....Cannavarro.....Thuram.....Birindelli.....
    ..................Tachinardi...................................
    Camoranesi...................Blasi...................
    ..................Oliveira...................
    .................Kapo........Zalayeta............

Del Piero got the rest today with Zalayeta and Ibrahimovic up front. Zalayeta scored in the first half, on a really beautiful assist from Blasi.

Nice 3-0 win against a good side.

Goals from Zalayeta, Nedved and Ibrahimovic.

Blasi has been up to some good playing this season. We're doing well in the league, and in Europe. Good to see such a good start.
