If you haven't yet, take a look at the Albanian (Shqiperia) national conference. Apparently their NT Coach is completely running the team into the ground. He's using a lot of players from CPU teams, he is running horrible formations like 5-0-5 and in the latest match he played the nation's best outfield player as a keeper.

I know there are some people on here who deal with the international teams and stuff a lot (since I really don't, I just happened to be looking around for a keeper to possibly train for the U-20 team of one of the newer nations to hattrick and stumbled on this mess) so I figured I'd bring this to your attention, maybe you guys can help them?

The only thing that might be done to help them is for somebody to talk some sense into the national coach. If he's a stubborn idiot, then they're stuck, Hattrick has made it clear that the voters will not be rescued from their own mistakes.

Can a country vote in a non-countryman as a NT coach? Maybe they can vote in a former NT from another country to help get them kickstarted.

I was pleased to find thatseveral national teams are coached by non domestic players. Jamaica for instance, and many others

Yes, countries can vote in any hattrick player into the head coaching position. South Park Cows in the US was the U20 coach for S. Korea for a few seasons in the past, it can be done. But like Craig said, there is no way to change it now, unless someone talks sense into the national team coach. That's sad though.

Well apparently he was elected when there were only *2* human teams in the entire country of Albania so it's not really anyone who is currently playing's fault...

Yeah... that's what happened. This guy is from like the 5th division of Argentina. He is really pissing off the entire Albanian hattrick population though. I was just reading a new thread today and aparently he changed the national team's uniforms from the traditional red/black of Albania to blue and white... of Argentina. I dunno when this was though cuz their current uniform is white/red, still not really Albanian colors, but at least not Argentine either.

In defense of the national team coach, what he has to work with stinks. My div 6 team that I got in October has a better star rating than his National team. He basically can't compete against other more established teams. As a coach he has two options, pick the best players he has available with the highest stamina and press like crazy, or pick the best defenders with the highest passing rating and try couterattacking (which is what he's doing).

Since his midfield (hell, the entire team) can't compete, having one (or not) is meaningless. Counterattacking is his only option, and CA depends on the back lines ability to pass and the forwards ability to score. The midfield doesnt figure in the equation. If I was in his shoes and had the players he had, I may have done the same thing.

The one knock I can say is valid is using bot players. I'm beginning to understand that playing for the national team is a political issue as well as a talent issue. The question is, are the other players in the league sending him suggestions?

As for changing Albania's, Never mess with a Balkan countries colors or flag ....

Well...if I ever come across an Albanian keeper younger than 19, I'll try to buy & train him as high as I can for their NT.

You can if you want to pay a fortune for them. A 19 yo inadequate keeper sold for over $900,000 just because he was from Albania and therefore has a chance at being on the national team.

note to self, start looking through small hattrick nations for bargins on players, could make national team.

It won't happen cause I'm sure plenty of people have this idea, but it's worth a try.

You got that right. EVERYONE has that idea. I thought about doing it two seasons ago when Kenya joined. Bought an inadequate PM 24 yo for 50K. Lost my butt on the purchase and my patience with the player.

Well now Northern Ireland is out of a manager. He has apparently been banned, but for the wonderful reason, no one can discuss it.

Maybe explaining why might help prevent things from happening in the future.

With all the money I'm blowing on my YS you'd think I'd get a foreign academy in third world nation like Albania for nothin.
