quite frankly I am disgusted by what has happenned. It's unfair and shameful to see morons wearing a jersey which over the years I have cried for.(I know, I know, its embarrasing...and yes this is not river plate or real madrid, but either way this is all we in nj/ny got) All I'm asking is for them to show some heart! We all know they are not the best in the world and this is a young league, but all we want is a team that hustles and hurts from a loss like we do..

But how? how do we let MFo know that to us this is not a bastketball, hockey, or football team that is only interested in making money, Soccer goes deeper than that, it's like a religion to many people...

walker, magee, woly, gaven, guevara, jolley, leitch, and maybe even lisi, and clarck show that they care, Other than that there is nothing......

Maybe we should collect money to bring Metro players to NH and let them see how much we love metro so that they can appreciate it.

I was there on weadnesday by myself and only for a half hour. I was the only dark skinned, spanish kid that doesn't like rock but you know what, I still showed up and bought two beers to show support for my team (by the way the bartender chic was hot but then again I love my girl so I couldn't tell her that)!

Do you really think other players you omitted don't care about winning? You honestly think Pope doesn't care? The guy has been our MVP all year long. You think Williams doesn't care? He's not the best player, but I don' think you could ever accuse him of not giving effort. You think Edgar didn't care? The guy ran hard up and down the wing. I would have to say that even Mathis cared in his own twisted way. Playing poorly and even being flat are not necessarily signs of not caring. And by the way, just curious, if you cared so much why weren't you at the stadium? You could have saved your beer money and bought a ticket. Maybe there were time constraints or economic reasons, but it seems odd to hear criticism of players for not caring from someone who couldn't get to a championship game at home.

Edgar cares, at the open cup final after he made that sweet run beating a few guys then had the dipping shot that just missed, everybody was calling his name at the midfield seats, as he was jogging back he had this bigass smile and nodded to the fans and might have mouthed "thank you".
i love stuff like that, makes you really feel as if they're out there playing 4 you.

i have to admit that I did omitt some players that do care. what i really meant to say though was that I want them to love the team not just care!

Secondly, I was at the game eventhough i'm 10 G's in debt. I even brought my girlfriend with me! (right after we went to visit her grandmother at the hospital, she got a heart attack earlier that day) I took half a day at work and drove from elizabeth nj to NH's, to new milford, then to teaneck and then to the meadowlands. I drove to DC to support my team a month ago, I'm a rgular in 101 and I can keep on going but as a true metro fanatic I really don't see the need to..........ohh and one more point, I've been going to the stadium since day one unlike many of you guys. I have witnessed how the esc has changed over the years......

My girlfriend knows very little about soccer yet that same night she asked me, "how come the other team's players run so much? they look like flys on *#*#*#*# around our players when they got the ball"
It doesn't take a soccer expert to know that some players lack heart............

I dont think that type of plays entails a player to love the team he's playing for. If that was the case 90% of players around the world would "care". I think that just entitles self worth and pride in ones work. I they wanna be be know as lazy bum players then thats what they get. Most players who play with heart and desire around the world dont even love their team they just love playing the game and want to be the best. Players(not all) on our team are content on just making money and cashing their paychecks. They dont take pride in being the best or care what people think fo them.

But then you have to wonder why is it only on our team that this happens? And maybe its because of the people up top. The attitute of the team starts from the top and if the players/organization don't respect the top, they are not going to feel like busting their ass for them.
