How big of an impact does Anelka not being called up have on the French NT?

France have a wealth of world class and top young strikers, so I don't think Anelka is really missed. Even though he's good, his poor attitude negates all that.

As for Marlet, he constantly gets called up because he's a favorite protege (read, lap dog) of Jacques Santini from back in Lyon. I also always wondered how he could be rated higher than Kanoute (did u see Kanute's goal vs Everton - cracker!)
However, Marlet has played well since joining OM from what I've seen. I've never liked him, but now that he plays for my team, I hope he proves me wrong.

Anelka'case is desperate - it is a pity because he can be a very good player but his attitude is terrible.

I agree about Marlet who is an average player.
    Kanoute definitely deserves a chance.

    Top 5 IMO :
    Henry
    Trezeguet
    Cisse
    Wiltord
    Kanoute

It is le tres big impact, the players have complained that when they get le substituted in the last seconds of the match, now le bench is not nearly as being kept warm by the other substitute Français players their asses, like it was being kept warm by Anelka his le ass.

For me, Anelka is a disgrace. Playing for your country should be a footballers highest honour. If he doesnt want to play for France, then the team doesnt need him.
As for Marlet, its hard to understand why he was so disappointing at Fulham. After all, he WAS good at Lyon. Hopefully he can now start to recover that kind of form and confidence.

    Re: Marlet,
it's clearly the set-up that Santini has that helps Marlet flourish. Whenever he does get a run in the French 1st team, he does pretty well (despite it being questionable why he gets called up, if you base it on club form). Santini was the Lyon manager when he played there as well.

It must not have been a negative impact since France didn't drop a point in qualifying for Euro 2004. :)

"Sydney Govou" rates higher than Kanoute. Nickulehead can't make the team and he knows it. He's not even a top ten (10) striker when you rate French Strikers and as far as I'm concerned it was a cop out on his part in regards to not being good enough to make the team. I'm always amazed at how it's everyone else's faulk except his. As a PSG supporter, I feel that I should apologize on behalf of the club for helping create this headache (he's a product of the PSG youth system). We should have at the very least sent to him to Merdeseille.
    ;O)
