http://www.jta.org/page_view_story.asp?intarticleid=13428&intcategoryid=4 "There is a resurgence of anti-Semitism in Europe. The policies of the Bush administration and the Sharon administration contribute to that," Soros said. "It´s not specifically anti-Semitism, but it does manifest itself in anti- Semitism as well. I´m critical of those policies." "If we change that direction, then anti-Semitism also will diminish," he said. "I can´t see how one could confront it directly." http://www.globes.co.il/serveen/globes/docview.asp?did=739696&fid=942
Funny how that one line is all that's mentioned of Bush, yet the way you interpret is that it's all Bush's fault.
Huh? I'm sorry Dante, where have I interpreted anything? I posted the link and pulled a quote. I made no comment. But if I were, it would be that complete, uncritical support of Israel, despite its refusal to end its occupation of the West Bank, let Sharon and Co. do what they want to the Palestinians, and is contributing to the growth of pro-Palestianism in Europe and elsewhere. No, it's not all Bush's fault. But if he had any balls, the problems in the Levant would be further along the road to being settled.
Hmm...perhaps by focusing solely on that one line (out of many) you did provide interpretation. Or at least tried to prod the interpretation the way you wanted it to go. You could have focused on numerous things in that article. For example: "I´m also very concerned about my own role because the new anti-Semitism holds that the Jews rule the world," said Soros, whose projects and funding have influenced governments and promoted various political causes around the world. "As an unintended consequence of my actions," he said, "I also contribute to that image." In the past, Mahathir has singled out Soros and other "Jewish financiers" for financial pressure that Mahathir said has harmed Malaysia´s economy. Perhaps that could have been tied into Soros's recent statements about the upcoming elections or the Malaysian comments? So, yes, you did provide interpretation in the way Dante suggested.
I see your point. However, I intended merely to call attention to the article. Posting solely a link without a quote might disinterest people from reading what I thought was an interesting piece.
You know, if the US was to re-enslave its black population, the Klan would disappear virtually overnight.
I never even heard of anti-semitism until GW Bush became president. He is the biggest threat to Jews all over the world.
