SOCCER AMERICA SUPPORTS ARENA'S CALL FOR FREE ALL STAR SUBSCRIPTIONS

BERKELEY, Calif. (July 30) -- SOCCER AMERICA Magazine has agreed to U.S. national team coach Bruce Arena's proposal of awarding free subscriptions to the winning team to make the MLS All-Star Game more competitive.

"It's up to the players," quipped Arena at a recent press conference when asked how to make the MLS All Star game more competitive when there's nothing at stake. "Maybe if Soccer America offers free subscriptions to the winning team, they'll be playing like it's the biggest game of their lives."

If that's what it takes, so be it. All members of the winning team will receive one-year subscriptions. However, since most are long-time subscribers, they can offer the subscription to the school
library of their choice and Soccer America will double it to a two-year subscription.

That's pretty funny stuff from Bruce and Soccer America. You see all you All Star Game Haters - that's what this is supposed to be about - fun. It doesn't have to be so darned serious.

And you Veronica Paysee haters need to lighten up too.

    Yeah it would.

Agoos: "Screw you man, you go score, I don't want to read how much they rip me on there!"

Graziani: "F You, they hate me more than you! You go score, just make sure it's in our goal this time!"
