Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans Nice shot. He really does a nice "face strain"
Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans The above photo went uncredited, but here's the photographer: George Holland. Other shots of Taylor in a Seattle kit appear here: http://www.pbase.com/georger/seattle_sounders Direct Taylor photo links: http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/45397511 http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/45397518 Watch that leg! http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/45397519 http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/43909782 http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/43910531 http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/43910615 http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/43920527 http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/43920539 Against Real Salt Lake: http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/43618770 http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/43618798 http://www.pbase.com/georger/image/43618827 There are plenty more, but you get the idea. George Holland is our Andy. Well, perhaps in training?
Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans Taylor featured in today's Seattle Times... http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sounders/2002363902_sounder07.html
Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans I for one wouldn't mind him back someday, he'd be good filler for the backline and an airial force on late game set pieces at 6'4". He's an unfortunate casualty of the Dev to Senior Roster status black hole meaning he's too old to remain dev and just a hair shy of unseating any of the returning players in his position from a Cup winning and finals team.
Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans Which is also a problem the Wizards will always be faced with considering the majority of their draftees are college graduates. I believe Pore, at 21, is our youngest player. We don't have the luxury of parking a player on the development roster, like Burciaga, and allowing them to develop. Our draftees really have precious little time to step up or move on.
Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans In case anyone is interested, you can watch Graham and his Seattle mates take on the Portland Timbers tonight on FSC at 10 p.m. It should be a good game. These are regional rivals who hate to lose to one another. The game will be played in Seattle but not at Qwest Stadium since the Gold Cup matches are taking place there. It will be at Starfire Complex -- on Field Turf with covered seating of only 2000. I wonder how many will attend in SRO.
Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans 3,204 pack Starfire Complex..and Taylor scores TWO GOALS on national TV! **********. http://soundercentral.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=69&mode=&order=0&thold=0
Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans Please, no results in threads without an [R] in the title. I tivo'd it and was actually planning to watch it later.
Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans Yes, please be careful when posting results. With TiVo these days, many people record most games and watch them later. We try to respect that by not giving results.
Re: Former Wizard Taylor Graham honored by Seattle fans No [R]s here. Anyway. I stayed up for the first half. There were not 3,200 folks there. When the game began, the crowd was chanting "Kasey Keller". I assume Kasey was there. We should have photos online from the game some time next week.
Thanks for catching that. I am very aware of [R] on my site, but perhaps the late night euphoria added to my forgetfulness. Video highlights now online: http://www.uslsoccer.com/docs/broadcastcenter/video/07-08-05 por-sea.wmv http://www.uslsoccer.com/docs/broadcastcenter/video/07-08-05 por-sea 2h.wmv I think the reported crowd # included season ticket holders, whether they showed up or not, and then any walk-up was added in. Still a very nice turn-out on the short notice stadium switch.
Taylor named USL-1 "Player of the Week" for his dynamic two-goal performance on national TV v. Portland: http://www.uslsoccer.com/home/103561.html
