Yes, the change of ownership at Newcastle has benefited their women team. Mike Ashley the previous one did not give a *** about them. The new ones mainly Soudi Arabia have put in charge Amanda Staveley who is pushing hard for the women team. Although they are a fourth division team they might turn pro next season, and they have a clear target of reaching the UEFA WCL by 2027/28. They need three promotions to reach the FA WSL and then get into the top3 and none of those will be easy. Especially with one up/one down policy in each division.
We are going to the final day in the FA WSL and all to play for at the top. Chelsea v Man United West Ham v Arsenal Reading v Man City Birmingham are relegated after losing 6-0 to Manchester City 1. Chelsea 53 pts +49 2. Arsenal 52 pts + 53 3. Man City 44 pts +34 ------------------------------ 4. Man United 42 pts + 25 Chelsea need a win to guarantee the title. if they draw they need Arsenal not to win. If they lose they need Arsenal to lose too. Arsenal need Chelsea not to win. if Chelsea draw, Arsenal must win, if Chelsea lose, Arsenal need just a draw. City need a draw to qualify for the Champions League, unless United win by 10 at Chelsea, which is impossible. United need City to lose and to win at Chelsea.
Chelsea, City, and Arsenal will all win their games. As for United, I don't know what this squad needs to do to get out of the perpetual rut of being outside the top 3.
Arsenal, if it does not win the title, has only itself to blame after losing to Birmingham, the worst team in the league.
Pretty nervous to see how all the games go today. I just checked the times, all of them are playing at the same time???!!! 6 a.m. for me.
