You are correct. My bad. I means to say UEFA needs to go back to 16 teams. The pragmatic approach of Portugal is pretty much like Greece in 2004 or us in 2010. The end justifies the means. Sometimes you play ugly and win. Sometimes you play beautiful and lose. When you play stronger opponent, you switch to play more defensively, you need to work harder, run more, focus more than your opponents then perhaps you have a chance. Against weaker opponent, you may play more offensively. With a strong mentality, Portugal seems to play better after losing Ronaldo because the players stepped up and worked harder. Also France did not convert their chances when they had (Gignac, Griezmann). Poor tournament but a surprise final result. I was wrong to think either Germany or France will win this. Unpredictability is a beautiful thing about football.

^^^ My feeling is that perhaps Wales and Iceland and Portugal are feeling good after this tournament and perhaps the title is good for Portuguese fan (as it is their first). In general, I don't think football fans are happy with the quality or the result in my humble opinion. The best game in this tournament for me is probably Hungary Portugal and it was the only game that I enjoyed. I felt the past winners and past tournaments are much better (even 2004 is much better for me and I was rooting for Greece beginning at QF).
