Not sure how Twellman's is leading the pack... Vote Early, Vote Often. (Sorry I don't know how to put in the link)
I voted for Twellman. That was clearly the best goal of the nominees. The Emilio goal was much more about Carroll, anyway.
I think its pretty obvious Galindo had the best goal this week, Chivas just dosent have the fanbase voting for him. I voted for Luciano
Too bad they call it "Emilio's Goal". As such, Twellman's was better. Considering the whole play by Carroll, DCU's goal was pure beauty, much better than T-man. Anyway, my vote went for Emilio.
hmm, I guess it was my mistake, I checked out the highlights from the Chivas-NYRB game without looking at which of his goals MLS put up for GOTW. Anyway, the goal he scored that I think should been up for GOTW is when he beats 1 defender, pauses in front of the goal and then sends the ball in between the goalie and another defender, very Moreno-esque type goal. It happens at 1:56 of the game highlights, tell me what you think! http://dcunited.mlsnet.com/media/pl...d=12659&catCode=mls_game_tv&type=v_free&_mp=1
The Twellman goal was much more about Vanney, anyway. I voted for Emilio's goal. The goal looked sooooo much better live than on TV, though. It was really cool watching Emilio try to catch up to Carroll's pace and eventually beat two defenders to the ball. It was ALL ABOUT HEART.
Yeah, Vanney lost his mark badly. That was still a very nice first touch and wonderful finish by Twellman.
Yes it was. However the DC United aura around the play by BC and LE made my vote straightforward -- Emilio! GN
Why wasn't Perkins nominated? No striker could make that shot in a hundred tries I voted the party line, but Twellman's probably was the best. Carroll definitely gets AOTW though.
That was a good one, and definitely better than the one they chose. I don't follow their logic sometimes. I also don't agree with their preference for individual play. I think a well-worked team goal with multiple passes is often more beautiful than a single great move and/or strike.
