Over the past month or so, I've been watching the MUTV replays and classic matches on the YES network. Whoever the analyst is on these games cracks me up. If it were up to him, Man United would never be called for a foul or offsides and the other team would be reduced to 8 men after about 15 minutes. Watching the Liverpool match last night, I thought that they were going to have to revive him after Diouf's studs up challenge on O'Shea. I also think that he wishes that he could have Keano's children.

Having said that, the guy really knows his stuff. He's kind of like a smart version of Bill Walton and Phil Rizzuto.

That would be Paddy Crerand, Red Legend and European Cup winner.
He is indeed highly biased, but in a very endearing way (if you're a United supporter).
I even seem to remember hearing him and Bower laughing about how Solskjær had once told him that he was overdoing it. :)

    YES!!!

Unless I see the game on FSW or PPV, I never miss the replays on YES. Just another reason I love Directv

As a NYC resident, I watch every soccer game shown on YES, every Yankees game shown on YES, but nothing else....

You mean that you skipped the Center Stage with Kevin Costner? Or the 85 replays each week of the Center Stage with Kevin Costner?

I watch all the replays as well...its like watching the game again with a whole different perspective thru your home announcers....
    also:
maybe its me but i think the images look sharper to me on the YES replays...

so this weekend i'll rewatch the liverpool game i TIVOED yesterday and watch it since the EPL is off this weekend boo hoo!!!!!

The FSW EPL broadcast seems filtered and subdued. The MUTV broadcast is much brighter and livlier. But the MUTV announcers are so blatantly biased that it gives me a good chuckle..... not a laugh, but a chuckle.... :)

It's the Yankees' Network that shows United (MUTV) programming. You can get it on DirecTV.

when you work for MUTV you better be biased towards United... I remember watching some games in the beginning of the season and one of them kept saying the same two phrases over and over... "COME ON REFEREE THATS GOT TO BE A FOUL", "COME ON REFEREE HE CLEARLY GOT THE BALL"

I'm cracking myself up at work repeating those two sentences in old Paddy's voice.

I think that the picture looks clearer on YES and you can pick up the crowd noises much better than on FSW.

I did it. I just got DirecTV and ordered the Sports Package so I can get YES Network!

However, looking at their schedule, I don't see alot of MUTV programming currently, is this because of Yankees baseball taking up most of the slots, etc.?

Or has the amount of programming declined?

Oh, and I'm getting the HDTV receiver for my big screen - finally. Stupid cable company kept advertizing it, but when I called to get it, they said we're not in an area that's even on the way with HDTV... Pissed me off enough after seeing all the adverts I went down to Best Buy and got the satellite.
