Okay, so I was digging around the MLS player register looking for some stats, and it seems that the San Jose Earthquakes have been in operation since the beginning of the league. Just look at Ronald Cerritos or Eric Wynalda's numbers. Weird. Later, COZ (at war with Eurasia)
The Clash and the Earthquakes are not the same. The human soul of the team is gone - it has become mechanical. I believe that many people know this, even if only on a subconsious level. It is why attendance has gone down even though wins have gone up.
The Clash had soul? Your memory must be warped. Unless you define soul as in poor management, lousy coaching, inept players, and gut wrenching loses in the last minute of games...
Ah memories. At least I was able to find a Clash replica jersey at Marshall's. I can't say the same thing about the Quakes' current jerseys.
