Can we believe anything that Bergin writes?!? Everything that I have heard from him, especially recent news, has been all conjecture.

My next question, assuming Bergin is not blowing smoke out of his @ss is "Why does Hudson want players from a 'crap' team"???

Wait a minute...why again would Hudson want this guy?? He already said Twellman is overrated because he's just a poacher, what the hell is Dante then?

I'll believe it when I see it. Bergin lost a ton more credibility when he said details of the Gazza deal would be out at 4:00 two days ago.

This happens with all the media. I'm grateful Chris Bergen does this stuff.

Rumors, true or not, adds a bit of fun. Gives us something to talk about.

"4. SITTERS: D.C.'s pursuit of a striker may bag Crew forward Dante
Washington, who was born in Baltimore and grew up in Columbia, Md.
Midfielder Bryan Namoff has reportedly been offered by United in
    exchange."

there it is... confirmation........ I hope we turn this down.

IF that deal goes down, someone call 911. Robbery in progress.

Dante is worth 2 or 3 Namoffs.

Namoff for the discovery pick was a far better deal than this.

This is another one i don't get. dante has wrestled the starting forward position away from our leading scorer (cunningham). In the process he showed he can work very well with McBride. He scores goals, and will do dirty work off the ball when neccassary. Surely with DC's current injury problems he'd be starting in a heartbeat there. Could you say that namoff would step on in and start here? I doubt it, and if he does he doesn't really make us a better team whereas Dante's acquisition definately makes DC better. I don't know how many of you saw that DC game on shootout last weekend, but picturing Dante working together with that new Salvadorian they got and with Olsen, Convey, and possibly Gazza soon on that squad...well...they don't look so shitty anymore. This would be a horrible trade for us. Terrible.

Jesus F'ing Christ in a frickin' handbasket!!!!

    Stop playing with our emotions!!!!

Here are the trade rumors as I understand them:

    Discovery Pick Category
    Discovery pick for Namoff
Discovery pick for Player to be named later
    Discovery pick for JC
Discovery pick for a Draft Pick
    Discovery pick for Lassiter

    Misc. Category
    Dante for Namoff

Please stop with all these damn trade rumors. I see some of this sh!t and my heart skips a beat. Please just report what you didn't hear from the toothless hooker down on the corner of the street.

I read on joecartoon.com that we are getting Namoff and Lassiter for Dante and Gazza (via our discovery option) and we have to pick up Gazza's bar tab for the remainder of the 2002 season, including the playoffs...

That damned carnie and MLS corn-holed again...

Don't mind giving up Dante...we have Garcia now and some younguns with skill to be developed....Dante can't help us further. but no lassiter. Not stuck with us anyway.

dante looked terrible tonight. without his starting role, he can't handle the pressure. He ost his spot...he better have. And of course, I have to add ....he's a nice guy and we all love him.

He did look less than spectacular. But he kept on working away and even was on top of the box playing defense while we had 11 players defending 10 in our third.

From the MetroStars forum, a post indicated that Villegas was watching the Crew-MetroStars match. Nothing too bad about that except his team was playing in Cowtown, USA. Their speculation is Gazza for Villegas return to the Big Apple.

    Who knows!
