I was just thinking that it was one of the better officiated Crew games this year. There has been a lot of contact and diving, so there have been a lot of very subjective calls (plenty of room for radio announcers to disagree), but I think the ref has done a good job and he certainly hasn't overreacted to anything. There have been a few things that should have been called, but nothing too major.
If we keep playing the way we are, we're headed straight for another cuddly, lovable tie. Not much going on attack-wise. Rogers has done well until he gets into the 18. Ekpo's passing has been sub-par. Schelotto has been almost invisible. Moreno has tried hard, but he's a lot slower than the SJ defenders.
Ah, that's about what I figured. The announcers are making it sound like the second coming of Marufo or something.
I wish Ekpo and tonight Rogers will take on defenders more one v one. I know Ekpo is on the wings but I'd like to see him dribble more than punt and pray to Moreno. keep the ball rolling I'd say.
Bobby: "San Jose is a very dangerous team" and "we aren't playing our best" *One of these things is not like the other one....*
Just wondering Crew fans what you will use to excuse/justify the horrible attendance you seem to have again tonight??? It can't be the weather...can it? What's a little rain to true soccer fans? Up here in the great white north we have had 8 home games and have had rain at six of them. 19,872 was our lowest attendance of the season. What's your excuse??
