Dispatch articles, and no I don't care I don't know the code to make these pretty.. Crew, Revolution struggle mightily: http://www.dispatch.com/crew/crew.php?story=dispatch/news/sports02/sep02/1457908.html Three is definitely no charm in MLS this year: http://www.dispatch.com/crew/crew.php?story=dispatch/news/sports02/sep02/1457997.html (don't worry Chris, I was just correcting the date-Plowmanoo)
and DC's result with San Jose really shows you what this conference is. upside down, backwards, and all discombobulated. http://mlsnet.com/statistics/ says we're in 2nd overall, 1st in the conference, and still haven't locked up a playoff spot yet.
Bump, Scott Tann writes in: http://cybersoccernews.com/mls/crew/020831crew_revs.shtml Good quotes in here...
Yeah, if it was "beautiful" then why was there sweat all down my back for the entire game? I felt like a player, I was sweating so much.
I guess I'm high. I wish. If the stadium only seats 22,500 and 24,000 are there then someone is stuck standing aren't they? Or is this some syntax thing I'm not picking up on? Did anyone else pick up on Cunningham being thin skinned in the Scott Tann article? And am I the only person who noticed that around minute 40 Winston Griffiths switched fields with Ralston, who then continued the Revs consistent attack down the left side? Was that a preconceived effort at exposing Chad (I know I wasn't expecting McCarty to start), or were they expecting Leitch? Did they have particular success going that route in earlier matches?
You must be. Because in the article it makes it sound like all 24,000 are standing room only. Come on boys, put the bong down.
I think this is why. In the parking lot after the match I was talking with someone who was in the Crew locker room for the media interviews. According to my nameless friend, someone with which a lot of you are familiar, Craig Merz kept poking at Cunningham in an attempt, I guess, to get Cunningham to basically shoulder the entire blame for the draw because of his missed opportunities. Take it for what you will, I guess.
