    UNC 2, Kentucky 1

The Heels get another non-conference win even though Storey, Ashe, Watson and Harrington were shutout. Ray Fumo and Tim Merrit did the scoring for UNC.

The Heels are 5-0-1 since UVa gave them their only loss this season.

Kentucky, which had won three straight, falls to 7-4-1. Their season will likely be determined in the next two games as they face the Mid-America Conference’s two strongest teams, Western Michigan (9-4) and Akron (9-3-1).

Anyone out there see this match? I'd love to hear about the sideline antics of Ian Collins, Kentucky's coach. This guy makes Tarantini look like he's on valium. He behaves like a complete lunatic usually.

Got a report from someone who sat close to the Kentucky. In his words, Ian Collins embarrased himself and his profession with constant ranting and raving at the ref, dressing down his OWN players so that half the stadium could hear, and by his frequent use of four letter words. This is what's wrong with college soccer. A jackass like this spends 90 minutes cussing on the sideline, with children in the stands listening. At one point in the match, Bolowich got to his feet, and asked the AR if he was going to let Collins' foul verbage continue.
At that point, Collins apparently realized how idiotic he looked and backed off some.

For those who think Cirovski at Maryland and Tarantini at State are volatile, think again. Everything is relative. Ian Collins is a maniac on the sideline and UK lets him get away with it. Does the AD at Kentucky ever go to a game? Obviously not.
