Inspired by the almost similarly titled thread, I was wondering if anyone has stories about players who gained fame playing ball, but had a lot of trouble later in life? All I can think of myself is Glenn Helder, though it's hardly riches-to-rags. He played for Vitesse and Arsenal, but was addicted to gambling, got debts and last thing I saw was he was sleeping in his car. Well, at least he had a car, so I'm sure his story can be topped.
