Corrected information (I did a little research): Luís Fabiano scored 44 goals in 2003 (43 with São Paulo and 1 with Seleção Brasileira). And counting...

In 2002, he played with São Paulo in the second semester and scored 19 times in the Brazilian Série A.

His average: 0,76 goal per game.

Van Nistelrooy averaged around 0.76 goals per game too, but against much better competition - 12 of those goals were in the Champion's League and 25 in the Premiership.

Luís Fabiano and VN will probably face each other in 2004. LF is going to play in AC Milan.
