Lately AOL has returned to booting me off if I leave my computer unattended for ten minutes. I intend to write them and say "Look mofos, that happens one more time and I'm outta here." But to do that properly I need to have an alternative. Note: I have a dialup connection and am not interested in anything else if I have to pay more. I've never used anything but AOL and am truly clueless about my choices. What are my reliable, reasonably-priced alternatives?
There are a gazillion options. Local dialup options are not bad. National ones exist as well - SBC, Speakeasy, NetZero, Juno...
