So now the last round of the first half of the 2005 season has started...

    Sunday results 7/3:
    Code:
    BK Häcken - [b]Assyriska Föreningen[/b] 0 - 2
    Landskrona BoIS - [b]Hammarby IF[/b] 0 - 3
Both Hammarby and Assyriska scored important away wins in this round. It was especially important for Assyriska, who now have a chance to reconnect with the main pack in the table. If they manage to win againt Häcken at home in their next game, they could actually position themselves above the relegation line for the first time in many rounds.

    Remaining schedule for this round:
    Code:
    [b]Monday:[/b]
    Halmstads BK - Malmö FF
    Örgryte IS - Helsingborgs IF
    IF Elfsborg - Kalmar FF
    [b]Wednesday:[/b]
    Gefle IF - IFK Göteborg
    [b]Next monday:[/b]
    Gif Sundsvall - Djurgårdens IF

    Monday results:

    Halmstads BK 0
    Malmö FF 0

    IF Elfsborg 1
    Kalmar FF 0

    Örgryte IS 1
    Helsingborgs IF 2

Good win at home for Elfsborg, they're just a point outside of the top 4.

IFK Göteborg with a 2-0 victory over Gefle today. Peter Ijeh with one of the goals in his last match before his move to Denmark. Göteborg are now ahead of Malmö and Helsingborg for 2nd, courtesy of goal differential. They all sit 3 points behind Djurgården, who visit last-place Sundsvall on Monday.

And so round 13 has completed...

    Today's result: (Monday 7/11)
    Code:
    GIF Sundsvall - Djurgårdens IF 1 - 1
A disappointment for Sundsvall, who almost got three points, before DIF scored in the end minutes. Djurgården now extend their lead at the top to 4 pts..

    The current table:
    Code:
       [b]Team GD Pts[/b]
    1 Djurgårdens IF 12 27
    2 IFK Göteborg 8 23
    3 Malmö FF 3 23
    4 Helsingborgs IF 2 23
    5 Kalmar FF 4 22
    6 IF Elfsborg 2 21
    7 BK Häcken 5 19
    8 Halmstads BK 1 18
    9 Hammarby IF 1 18
    10 Örgryte IS -5 14
    11 Gefle IF -8 13
    --------------------------------
    12 Landskrona BoIS -11 13
    --------------------------------
    13 GIF Sundsvall -8 11
    14 Assyriska Föreningen -6 10
At the halfway point, this series is still very open at this point. Djurgården have the advantage, but teams #2 - #9 could potentially compete for the gold. There will now be a short break, before the series turns around, and Round 14 will just be a reverse of Round 13.

???? Which team was closest to winning? Logically that team (and its supporters) would be most disappointed with a draw.
Given the overall run of the match, DIF should be overjoyed by getting 1 pt from the affair.

yeah but i have a feeling that going into the game, a 1:1 draw with sundsvall isnt what the DIF supporters were exactly looking for, being that DIF are top, and sundsvall in the relegation zone...

yeah, and after watching how Djurgården, or should i say, Touray, conceded the goal to sundsvall, its dissapointing that we didnt get 3 points and build on our cushon atop the league.

    what a soft, soft goal...
