    From Jones column:

    Scots Cry Foul

Scottish internationals Christian Dailly and James McFadden have branded German players as "cheats" in the wake of Germany's 2-1 victory over Scotland in a key Euro 2004 qualifying game in Dortmund.

Dailly said German players were diving whenever they were tackled, seeking to draw fouls.

"Until someone clamps down on it, it will keep happening," he said. "The Scotland players are honest and we take pride in that."

Added McFadden: "They were cheating They weren't slow at putting the boot in but, as soon as it went against them, they went down as if they'd broken their leg."

As I recall, the Germans did this in the World Cup as well, particularly in the QFs.

Sux to be us I guess.

Yeah. The much smaller Americans seemed to be able to shove the Germans around at will. Donovan even knocked down a defender that was nearly 6 inches taller than him with a light body check and had his goal disallowed.

I think that was Poland, sometime province of Germany and a bunch of filthy cheats too.

    That was vs. Poland.

BTW, wasn't Ring of Fire a tribute to Chicago fans?

And how about that Boy Named Dema?

    Re: Tell Hugh Dallas.

There's a video file of Scotland's manager, Bertie Vogts, giving a post-match interview and Christian Dailly is in the background screaming, "Cheats, *@#*@#*@#*@#ing cheats!"
