In the first 5 minutes it looks like that Wasington, in the 4-2-2-2, is having a lot of the same early troubles that other WUSA teams that play that system when faced with a 3-5-2.

It looks like they are very much numbers down on every touch in the midfield.

Hey FoF I need your help quickly...

On the Jen Grubb save off the goal line..

Was it Mac that took the corner and Kester the one that tried to take the shot?

Jen Grubb made an awesome save off the line after Siri came out to punch a ball away and didn't clear it far enough - WHEW!!!

Please god, we need these 3 points!

And to think I was on my way to the airport for this game and turned around cuz of the weather and flight problems... sigh...

I think you are correct but I was not watching carefully at first and I do not believe the anouncers ever said.

However they were WRONG about Siri, the play on the ball by her was HORRIBLE you do NOT gently place the ball at the feet of an attacker in front of goal. That should have and could have been tipped out or she should have stayed home.

Anyone know about Pags' knee injury? How'd that happen and when?

Not too much happening... Bai Jie running on, but Fawcett caught up and cleared it.

I think it is an injury of convience. It is a good excuse to keep the hotter keeper in the lineup without having to really bench the earlier number 1.

If Paggs was playing up to form I bet the injury would get a lot better.

That's sure what it seems like to me - I didn't hear about any injuries up to now.

Lot's of the usual blah, blah nonsense by Beavis and Butthead, oh, I mean Beth and Anson...

Corner kick by Pu Wei... lots of nothing. :(

Hey, I don't see or hear the Crusaders. I hear a bunch of those horns, but not them. hmmmmmm... Oh wait - I think I see them. I think they have to move over a section or two because of the United supporters club.

Still alot of nothing going on...

Mascaro did a dance around Grubb to get a corner...

Mac to take it... over the goal and out of play.

Stands on the far side look kinda empty with everyone spread out - wonder if it's cuz of the United season ticket holders? Wonder what the attendance is? hmmmm

Foudy takes a shot right at Mullinix. Almost at the end of the first half. Gerardo fouls, whistle blows that's it - zip/zip at halftime

:( Well the weather ain't helping.

FYI..Mak was looking good while warming up with one of the Freedom trainers but did not appear to be suited up. (Info relayed by someone at RFK at the beginning of the match.)

Nice bit on Mia during the first half. I really hope she does some of her magic in the second half. :)

Shut UP Foudy! Did they really have to mic her???

Moore is doing a good job marking Mac. Wonder why they don't have anyone marking Fleeting. Guess they don't think she's as dangerous, I guess.

Come on guys, let's get on the score board!!!

Wish you could see the bench side of the stands - far more people sit there than on the side the camera shows. They really should put the camera on the other side. They could get good shots of what's going on on the bench during play too. Oh well.

Execpt for brief mentions the anoncers sure do seem to be talking a LOT more about the Freedom. They have miked Foudy but they seem to be mostly talking up the Freedom.

    Is that good or bad?

They are VERY quite during the SD attacks.

Well, Mia's Beavis' girl, from back when...

Mac just cracked a shot wide

Corner kick, cleared away, Grubb lets a shot rip wide

Y'know, the Freedom have had about 10 or so corners and they have all looked EXACTLY the same. I wonder if they are just trying to win by size instead of actually having a plan to produce through some varity?

Hamm just wasted a WONDERFUL piece or work by S. Little. I hopw Hamm's shot did not hurt anyone in the 45th row.

Stands look like a decent crowd showed up.

Good save by Smolak - one handed off of Grubb's free kick. Come on Freedom - put the bulge in the onion bag! (to quote that guy from the World Cup! LOL!)

There is something in Siri's body language. If SD gets one of those quick shots on goal she just does not look ready.

The TV does not stay on the keepers enough to be sure but something just looks off.
