Berry tied the USL-C record for goals in a season. He may be MLS quality.

I can think of a team that could use a goal scorer; but we can't talk about them in this thread.

I know that as a Rapids fan I have to hate Salt Lake, but I can't help but love what Pablo is doing. Who knew that BOBBY WOOD of all people was capable of that inch-perfect deflection of a golazo?

NCAA D2 soccer championships at Weidner Field (Switchbacks stadium) in COS Thursday and Saturday. Women's semis 11 and 2, men's semis later. Finals Saturday. Tickets $25.

I'm planning to go to the women's semis (I'm retired now and have time during the day).

That'd be fun. What are the colleges involved? (I'm not going to make if from Boulder, just wondering).

Watched the women's semis. Grand Valley State played Lenoir Rhyne off the pitch 3-0 and Saint Rose beat Dallas Baptist 2-1. Women's final is being played as I type this. Expecting GVS to win as they were by far the best of the 4 teams Thursday, but.... the ball is round, so we'll see.

Didn't stay for the men's semis so not sure who the teams were there.

CAL State - LA ended up winning the men’s title beating U of Charleston (WV) who were won the title last year. Couldn’t make it the women’s final that was earlier in the day but I went down and watched the men’s final with a couple of coaching buddies. People love to shit on the college game and I get it but the quality of those two teams was arguably better than my D1 school and opponents when I played. I played at a solid school in a solid conference so it wasn’t like we were rag tags. Of course, I played from ‘00-‘04 and the play had risen quite a bit. CSU-LA and Charleston were two contrasting styles and players. CSU-LA’s roster was mixed with local kids (several from LAFC and Galaxy Academies) and foreigners and Charleston’s roster was completely made up of foreign students. That’s become par the course for D1 and D2 schools. Oh…. Colorado Mesa apparently put up a helluva fight against CSU-LA in the 3rd Round of the NCAA’s. CSU-LA prevailed in Pk’s. CO Mesa’s program is on the rise so watch out.

CENTRAL REGION CHAMPIONS It was such a great game in Colorado with both teams fighting until the last minutes. Foro 360 Pro defeated Club El Azul 5-4. For the second time they will represent the Central Region in the National Finals

When I saw Kellyn Acosta playing for the U.S., I still saw him as a Rapid. Needs more time to change I suppose. Great game today.
