The Storm has sent season ticket information and it promises 15 home games. Did I miss an announcement that the season was being shortened to 30 games? Any indication whether it will be a single eight-team league or two four-team divisions? Something tells me we won't know till about two weeks before the season begins.

Yes the league will play 30 games this season and the rumor is that if Cleveland goes under there will once again be a single table otherwise there may be a 2 division format with the 8 teams providing the Force survive.

If people on this board are to be believed and looking at the general state of the MISL we could see a 30 game (15 home and 15 away) all against the same team!!!

The newspaper would say something like this.........

Chicago vs California Cougars tonight at the abandoned warehouse in Stockton as the harborside arena in Stockton is still delayed. The 20-10 Storm will play the 10-20 Cougars for the right to homefield advantage in the playoffs. The playoffs will start on Wednesday and we will jump right to the final as Chicago will play the only other team in the league California. Remember to arrive early as Steve "Fresh Money" Ryan will have a expansion team investor table in the parking lot. Investors need to bring a check for $ 100.00 (US Dollars only please) and a general idea of where they want to play. Raj Kalha from Vancouver complained he couldn't get to the head of the line last time so he will show up early to launch California's 2nd team the San Diego Chapter 11's

I said that there too many games for this league. They finally got the message.

You can't sell 40 games with a tiny sales force. It won't work.

And yet another sockpuppet from the mind of Paul Sadler. Nice.

They announce that Providence expansion team yet, Paul?

A-leaguer = the Providence expansion team was canned. It was a no go. A couple of years ago Steve Ryan was close to getting an expansion team with Mohegan Sun's arena. The same investors were toying with the idea of playing in the Ryan Center at URI and playing 5 games a year at Mohegan. The initial thoughts were good but it didn't work out.

The central theme of close but no cigar kind of runs true for MISL of late unfortunately. And if you're so down on Paul Sadler he broke the WISL and NPSL merger on another board.

Anyways. MISL thought it was a go.................

A-leaguer - C'mon bro, your forgetting he said the (WISL) teams that wouldn't come into the new league, the date of the announcement and the name and logo of the new league. That ain't luck,

That was, what, almost four years ago?

How much stuff has he gotten wrong?

"Toronto is IN for 2003-2004 and they're going to play at Ricoh." They'd paid their money, right? They were in, right? How'd that work out?

"Fresh Money" had "the check in hand," for another expansion team, right?

    Finals on TV in 2003?

    League-wide webcasting?

Hockey was going to be the second tenant at ARCO Arena? Where can I get tickets for that hockey team?

Oh, that's right - it's not your fault. It was true when you said it.

    Enough already.

A-Leaguer - I was wondering if you were from the old Lets Play Soccer ilk, it appears you are.

Toronto was "in". They paid their league dues up until after the first year of MISL.

Fresh Money's check in hand was from Newark.

The finals were on tv 2 years running. 03 was the all star game and sadler was right about that.

You forgot about "mom and Pop" in Wichita pulling the plug on the Wings? Or did you convientantly forget about sadler telling us about that. And Harrisburg. and Newark

    Tell me something new, homeboy.

Had any luck buying Revs' tickets yet, moron?

If Toronto was in, they'd have been in, wouldn't they? And you didn't say All-Star Game on TV in 2003, you said finals on TV in 2003. Want the quote?

And quit talking about yourself in the third person. Moron.

You're a wannabe, Paul. Go away now.

Poor little a-leaguer. The thing I love best about lil' a-leaguer is all you need do is give him enough rope and he hangs himself.

Toronto was "in", you see Toronto paid dues that year son. League dues that quite frankly kept the doors open on the league office and the expenses of HQ.
    By the way.
    is actually Marcomm,

Just because Mom and Pop dropped the Wings you are still mad at Paul S for breaking the bad news seems a little petty now.

    Sorry you lose again.

I don't know anything about the history you folks might have with each other from other message boards, but I just want to emphasize that, while disagreement and debate are welcomed on BigSoccer, personal attacks are NOT okay. Please try to make your points without all the insults. Thanks.
