Now that the haze of my epidural has wore off, I can get back to some serious pimping...Thanks to Anisah for picking up a fumble.

Several times over the past 5 years the question has been asked:

"Do you guys really need beer to have a good time?"

Naperville tested the theory. The resounding answer was:

"YES, we can't seem to have a good time without cheap beer."

Now that the oppression of Naperville has been lift, the beer (and brats) WILL flow again...

There are those out there saying that Barn Burners can't hold their liquor anymore. But I'm here to tell you, that they never could. Yes, the self deprecation and random puns will continue down the road to victory. Our vision of a(an American) football-free stadium WILL be known to future generations. We will never give up! The beer will NEVER STOP FLOWING. The National Call registry WILL BE A REALITY! Oh hell, just come to the tailgate, it's been far too long.

    Open to ALL Fire fans.

When? October 10, 2003 (yes it's a Friday, big frigging deal)

Sometime after work to ½ hour before game time.

Where? Top floor of that concrete structure south of Soldier Field.

Why? Because none of us have day jobs anymore

How much? $5 same as always.

What? The BarnBurner "Smells like 1998 spirit" Tailgate,

or the "How BarnBurners spent their time away from Soldier Field" Tailgate,

or (if you're a Python fan) the "Bring out your dead
    (supporters club)" Tailgate,

or the "Yes Virginia, there is STILL a BarnBurner supporters club" Tailgate,

Or the "Throw another unclaimed membership packet on the barbie" Tailgate,

Or the "Yes Coz, we all saw you on the Fire website" Tailgate,

Or the "Why the hell are we in a parking garage?" Tailgate,

Or the "Boy that's one U-G-L-Y stadium" Tailgate,

Or the "wasn't section 8 over there before (pointing to the SE corner)?" Tailgate,

Or the "Can we cuss now?" Tailgate

Jeez, this is like finding out that King Richard is returning after nearly two years of wicked rule by the incompetent Earl John and his nefarious apprentice, Liam the Sherriff of Nottingham.

    Can it possibly be?

Nah, more like "Dogma" where the group has been stuck in a coma for 2 years and no one knows where to find it to set it free. The plug has been pulled. Rebirth has occured.

I'm in. Please standardize the scoring so the same mistakes aren't made.

a Barnburner tailgate outside of the NSF, I cant wait to get my drink on in front of the first ship from V the Series to crash in our own hown town of chicago.

Can I bring my FireWorks for Kids mug from the lunch a couple of years ago? I say unlimited refils for anyone with one of those mugs.

Hell, I've still got my plastic BarnBurner mug from the first or second season. Yes, I've washed it.

    Later,

Just to clarify, the tailgate is going to be the top floor of what they are calling the Waldron Deck, correct?

Realistically, what time do people think they will be getting out there?

    I think that is it.
My letter said it does not open until 3 hours before game time.
