The negotiations with SW11 over his contract as still ongoing with the sticking point being that he wants a 3 year deal with the club offering 2. (2 too many in my mind!).
He hasn't proved to be the French Ian Wright as was predicted, and although I would have paid £13m for the goal that won the EPL at Old Trafford, by rights it should have been FL8, who had been in a rich vein of form at that time, and Wiltord netted Freddie's scraps on that night.
The fact that I thought (and have posted) that Kanu did more than he did against Chelsea speaks volumes in itself, with Kanu hardly being "Mr. Energetic"!
SW11 looked so predictable on Saturday, with every pass he received, back to goal, taking the ball on the outside of his right foot, and then trying to turn onto the inside of the defender. If I can see that from the East Stand, what about the opposition on the pitch!
I don't think he will get a better deal elsewhere, so 2 years at Highbury surely is better than 3 years at "Elswhere F.C.". Maybe he should take a leaf from MK5 and settle for the final year being "optionable" on both sides. He needs to score more before being considered for a 3 year deal.

I say let the whiny little cretin go. I can't stand his "piss and moan" attitude.

At least he admits (sort of) he's been crap.

That's about as close as a modern player gets without actually saying "I've sucked."

He won't sign! He's doing to us what Campbell did to the scum. He crawl off back to a mediocre French side, pocket a million or 2 signing on fee, and save his best for the national team as always!!

    Come on you Gunners!!!

Unfortunately, you're probably right. I hate to admit it because Wiltord has scored so many important goals for us (yes, bottled many as well) but it's probably time to let him go and give either the Aliadiere or Kanu more time up front.

Fixed your post. :D I'm always in favor of more Kanu.

If he continues to play the way he played against Chelski...sign me up as well.
