Please gimme some reasons- for your selection. I have just started following the Tahitian Premier Division this year... haven't seen any matches. Tahitians really love their footie (and their rowing!). I am already a fan of the English Premiership and SPL, La Liga, Serie A (italian and ecuadorean), Campeonato Brasileiro, Ethiopian 1st League (woo St. Georges!), A-league, Trini League, Turks and Caicos top division and MLS, but I need more football. I'm leaning towards A.S. Pirae because of their storied history in Tahitian football. And because its not of one of the big Papeete clubs. Anyone who is knowledgeable please gimme some info. Thanks.
hjhjggjn Holy Moses Malone you're devoted! I thought I was devoted for following the top two Swedish divisions even though I'm a Yank (Malmo FF and Atvidaberg)! Well, anyhow, I don't know anything about Tahitian footy, but have roamed their website before, and found a photo of a player in a dark blue kit whose shirt had the Mercedes Benz logo on it, which I really like. Happen to know what club that is?, because I sure don't. Well, good luck and happy following.
all you crazy people who like having at least one club to follow per continent should look into St. George of Addis Abeba. http://www.ethiosports.com/Saint_George.html They, Raja Casablanca, and Highlanders Bulawayo are my CAF club teams. I'm trying to decide on an OFC team (aside from my beloved Pirae) to follow though (since Tahitian soccer has NO websites.. and is thus very difficult for me to follow). So I guess I'm going to give up on Tahiti Premier Division footie until it gets its rightful hour slot on FSW.
Wow, that is a pretty neat site. I love their kits. Didn't mean to rib ya earlier on being so devoted. I, too, like to see what's above and beyond the ManU's, Celtics, and Inters of the world. I swear, FSW needs to have like 5 channels for just soccer. Then maybe I stand a chance of actually seeing Malmo FF, a Swedish club that I follow. And maybe the New Zealand premiership, which is due back next year (an old family friend from Connecticut got a teaching job in Dunedin, NZ, so I somehow got interested in clubs down there)! Sanka, do you have any clue which club Ethan Zohn played for? I know it was in Zimbabwe, but I forget where.
