Between the three main scrambling qbs in the NFL, which one would you want on your team. I like Culpepper. He is big and strong with a great arm. Vick can just run and McNabb is just like Culpepper in my mind but just a little bit worse.
Vick, he doesn't have half the tema that McNabb has but he handed the Pakcers their first ever loss in Lambeau, and he got the NFC Championship game. once he finally figures out how to throw the ball at this level its over
I agree that Vick would blow the list away if he knew how to throw the ball well. But he doesnt. 50% completion percentage just doesnt cut it. Also he doesnt know how to protect his body. In my mind he will have a very short career.
unfortunately, i agree. skill-wise, vick probably has the potential to be the best qb ever, but something isnt there in his mentality i guess.
maybe he is simply not going to get any better.most guys can throw or not throw by the time they come out of college and he has been a pro for three years now. he just isn't a good passer. he probably should have switched positions in high school or college.if you want to win with vivk, start running thewishbone or the nebraska style i option. he is a college running qb, not a pro qb. think of him as tommy frazier with more size and athletic ability.was anyone wondering whether john elway could pass by the end of his 3rd year? dan marino? terry bradshaw? peyton manning? etc. etc. either you can pass or you can't.
I think Culpepper has the best arm out of all three, but his awareness isn't the best sometimes, he's had a lot of fumbles where he wasn't expecting the rush. Donovan has almost as good of an arm and he has the awareness to make him superior. I can't take Vick seriously as a QB with his passing numbers, but it is undeniable that he is a game breaker. He also tries to get a little fancy sometimes and forces bad plays. That, and I'm tired of ESPN having a daily masturbatory session about him during the football season.
I almost completely agree with you, there is only the part that i am a vikings fan and so that just puts Culpepper ahead of McNabb in my mind.
You know, I'd just as soon we dispense with the QBing for Vick and make him the next Barry Sanders as a running back.
