My friend is a Hapoel Tel Aviv supporter, lives in Givatim. He always rips on Man Utd fans, but I point the finger back at him because he likes Real Madrid, Liverpool FC, and Rangers FC. I'm not pro Manure trust me, but want to know which is the BIG club in Israel so I can harass him...lol.

    Thanks.

    In terms of what?

I would go with Maccabi Haifa. They have a really big club. There fan base is big as well. Over the last few years, they have been in the forefront of israeli soccer, not only in the leauge but also in terms of the youth system, the UEFA cup, CL...and so on.......

They are considered the best of what israel has to offer in terms of soccer and are known to be European material.

Other than that, Hapoel Beer Sheva is a team that spends alot of money, but i don't see any of it working....

Hapoel acts big, but there not big at all. There leftists and there socialists!!!

Beitar was big, but now...........we will be bigger!!!!!!!!! Most fan base in Israel is in Beitar!

Maccabi Petach Tikva who is in the israeli premiership, has the most few fans. Less than 300 fans...

    take a look at this........

In the logo you can see the logo of the harvest tool, used in the U.S.S.R's flag, which is the labourers tool.

The name Hapoel Derived from Labourers...Pretty much Labourers and the whole Kibbutz (Farms in Israel) were a socialist concept!!!

Israel was close to becoming a socialist state. We had a Jewish Communist Party before 1948 to 1970ish...than disbanded.... Now, the socialist movement is between arabs in the country.....its part of this whole new phenomena that Arabs are intrested in Communist tyrany, cause it fits there islamic desires.

Anywho, compare the flag with the logo..
    here is the flag

    also...

the reason that they think big about themselves is that they are one of the top teams in Israel. No question about that.

Its that in 2001/2002 they went far, very far in the UEFA cup, and the only thing a Hapoel Fan talks about is that, when infact Maccabi Haifa was the only team in Israel to go to Championship Leauge finals and be in the group stages, and almost go threw......
plus they beat Olympiakos and Man Utd........

so Hapoel is speechless, but still cocky.
And right now, there team is in ruins and they only 1 won game, lost 0 and tied the rest.......

    I knew about their crest...

how it looks that is..very Communist looking. I know my friend is sad about his bad side this year and that Hapoel is just ok. Maccabi Haifa, I knew was a powerhouse in Europe and I cheer for them in the CL or UEFA Cup.

You impressed with my little knowledge of Hebrew...ken o no?

Yes, thats how it is..Israel has a communist side... It was a good way too, cause in the U.N, Russia voted for Israel, citing that there might as well be a commi state in the middle east.........

Yea, Hapoel is that. I don't like hapoel cause there cocky. They always rant and rave about UEFA 2001/2002 season and i think they did a good job, but i don't think they can pull it off anymore...not in this or next season certainly...

Hapoel's coach is also cocky as well. he was offered the lucrative job of being the NT coach, cause he was one of the best coaches around. Instead of taking it, which was gonna pay him the same salary as a Hapoel coach, he turned it down and still coaches Hapoel.

    he is fustrated and complains......
    So much for him, eh?
