Air fare from Chicago to Johannesberg (South Africa): $6770.00 World Cup tickets: probably around $500 Money in my bank account: lets just say not enough Flight to Dublin: $3000 To Shannon: $2250 Granted that these were during the Holiday season, but this means most American fans couldnt do it (though I cant speak for the rest of the Americans here)

Damn, you are lucky , thats a great price (though it is a bit weird flying past Dublin, than back). I think that you can get good prices if you connect at Newark (though Newark isnt great, if you have a lay-over, just like the rest of New Jersey ). I guess it wouldnt be that expensive to go to Ireland, but South Africa is insane.
Federal Hill?, I liked that area along with the area of Canton. Both had good bars and good atmosphere
