Isn't the supporter's summit, a gathering of all MLS fans, held the weekend of the MLS final every year, in a hotel of the host city?
If it happens, I would recommend a knot of businessmen's hotels at Crawford and Sepulveda in Torrance. Minutes from the stadium, free internet, and 60-70/night for weekend nights. I stayed at the Courtyard for the WWC final weekend, and plan to book there - or nearby - for MLS Cup weekend.
The Supporters Summit has, to my knowledge, been held every year since 98 or 99. It is where the official transfer of the Supporters Shield takes place. The Supporters Bash has happened every year since 1997. The first was the original Capital Soccer Ball. We have a fair number of Summit photos from years past on the YCJ Photo site.
I'd like to find out about the summit and guess I'll have to call Ozzie. The bash the night of the game is a blast. I've been to two. The Columbus one and then the last one in NE. Its nice to hear Garber and others talk (lie) to the fan clubs and we voice our concerns. Its a time to tell the problems clubs are having with the FO.
